A wonderful original Gucci mini duffel bag that is covered with that famous Gucci logo. The bag is made from a combination of the logo-embossed canvas with leather handles and detailing. I love the modified duffel bag feel that it has. The color is black in some lights has a feel of a deep midnight blue.It zips across the top and has form handles on either side of the bag. The hardware is brass and the zipper pull also has that Gucci logo. It has that worked in patina that collectors desire and the combination of leather and logos are fantastic. Great vintage condition with a note below to review.
The inside is finished in a coated blue leather. It does show wear inside and flaking as these bags tend to do as they aged. The exterior is in great overall condition with some patina and wear to the piping at the corners, and handles. It closes with a Gucci logo zipper pull and there is an interior zip pocket. Serial number present under the Gucci plate on the interior.

This has a very Bianca Jagger feel and perfectly captures that moment in the seventies when hats were all the rage for evening. It has a a slight nod to his famous pill box of the 1960s with a touch of thirties high glamour with its black net covering. It is rounded and has a piped detailing that runs down the center of the back. The base is a black wool felt and the netting attached. It sits higher up on the head and is a chic way to wear netting without having the face totally covered.

I love this full circle skirt by Yves Saint Laurent with its strong nod back to the 1950s in feel. It is made out of a crisp cotton that has been printed with a wonderfully bright, abstract tangerine design that covers the entire skirt from waist to hem. It cinches in with a fitted waist and below that the skirt is a full circle skirt. I styled it both over a light crinoline and without. There is enough room that you could actually do a very full crinoline under it if you really wanted that true fifties look. The pretty print and options on how full you can wear the skirt depending on what goes underneath make it very versatile and you will be able to dress it up or wear it casually. Excellent condition
Unlined with a side zipper and flat hook and eyes at the waist. A pocket sits along the seam beside the zipper side. Tagged a vintage YSL 34. Appears unworn. A touch more vibrant tangerine orange then how it photoed. Better in person.

I Have a Question
This is such a pretty skirt that is made out of a fine light weight silk. The print that covers the silk is large, oversized tropical flowers in a muted coral that are scattered over its surface. Pale green leaves and vines intertwine between the flowers and the backdrop is a yellow with a green undertone. The waist band is fitted and the cut widens out as it nears the hem. In person the fabric has a slight iridescent quality to it that is very pretty. The hem is finished with a wide 14" ruffle that gives it a little bit of drama and a feminine feel. Really pretty and chic. Excellent condition.
Fully interlined in a white silk though the upper skirt and the ruffle is backed in a pale yellow silk. It closes with three hook & eye at the waist and a zipper.

I Have a Question
This is one of my favorite Bill Tice prints. Pieces with this particular pattern are tough to find and I love when I do find them. This is a pretty little skirt made of a light, scarf weight tissue silk that is printed with an oversized floral print on a soft peach base. It has his signature, wide top stitch, tie belt detail at the waist so that you can cinch it in for the perfect fit. It has hidden pockets on either side along the hip seams and the fabric is as light as air. A pretty pop of color to work into your modern wardrobe. Presents as excellent condition with a small note to review below.
Unlined and partially wraps over itself and then ties at the waist. Interior buttons that can be moved for a perfect fit. Pockets at each hip. There are extremely faint water marks here and there on the fabric. You really have to hunt for them and in my opinion they present no detraction but are mentioned for accuracy and priced with that in mind. It is a MED-LRG currently but could fit a SML with the interior buttons adjusted
Waist: buttons are set to either 14 or 15" flat across from side seam to side seam and could be adjusted as needed at least 2" either way up or down
Hips: open to 27" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 32" from top of waist to hem
Modern Sizing Equivalent: SML-LRG

This skirt is well made and has the feel of a piece that would have had a more well known label. It has a very YSL feel to it so you are getting a lot of style for your buck. It is made from a moire patterned silk taffeta that has been dyed to a brilliant emerald greens. The texture that the silk gives is lovely and really gives it a lovely feel. It is very easy to wear with its wide elastic banded waist. It is that perfect vintage piece to mix and match with modern pieces for a little extra touch of glamor. Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Unlined and with a 2" banding of elastic at the waist. No closures - it just slips on. Pockets at the hips. The color is a little less bright then how it photoed - better on person. The elastic waist and easy cut will allow it to fit a range of sizes.

The La Mendola label is one of my favorites. They did the most amazing custom prints. In their heyday the Rome based duo who launched the label were designing for stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth and countless other celebrities and jet-setters. Best known for their striking print dresses, they also did scarves for their clients and these featured a variety of their beautiful prints. This one has a bold and dramatic 'dragon' that twists and curves over the entire surface. Worthy of framing the print is so fabulous. A easy way to add a pop of bold color to your wardrobe.

This is a pretty full length skirt made out of a fine Thai silk. Silk from this period from Thailand was some of the finest in the world. This design has been used as 'inspiration' by many modern designers. This is a wonderful example of the original. The jacket combines a deep brown, soft leather with brass clasps and fur detailed sleeves. The cropped shape and bomber feel are perfect to pair with jeans or to top just about anything else. The body of the jacket is cut to be more fitted and the neckline is high. It closes down the front with those amazing huge brass grommets and hinged hook clasps. Each sleeve has a detailing of fur that runs down the outer edge with leather down the inside. The pelts are very soft and supple and the leather is is soft as well. It's a very light and comfortable weight. It has a very Bonnie Cashin vibe though it has no labels. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a deep brown silky satin rayon. Closes with hinged brass hook clasps and grommets down the front and on each cuff. The brass and fur edges show a teeny bit of patina but this just adds to its vintage appeal. I see some slight discoloration to the lining of the sleeves which does not affect the exterior at all and is mentioned for accuracy. Note that jackets are measured on the interior.

I have a small collection of historically important, key designer labelled vintage furs and fur trimmed pieces stored away in my archives that I will be slowly posting on the site over the next couple of years until I have none left. I will no longer be buying furs for the shop moving forward and have not purchased anything for several years now. I feel like times have changed and while there still is a place for vintage furs for some, including collectors and historians, many modern girls are choosing other options. Many of the pieces in my collection are representative of the designer during a set time period in history that was different then our modern outlook. I have decided that the best course to handle this controversial issue is to let the pieces I have go rather then sit in a cold storage unit.

This jacket is a find. It is a play on the Military band jacket but elevated to a distinctive and bold fashion version of that look. The base is a chocolate colored cotton velvet that gives it both shape and a rich feel. It is trimmed in an ivory rabbit fur and then the jacket is heavily embellished with gold braiding and rhinestones. The fur runs down the front and around the hem and along each sleeve. The sleeves are remarkable - each is split up the outer edge and is held in place by the braiding that swings over the split. The widen out quite dramatically as they near the wrist. That same braiding loops across the front and I love the extra braiding that swings across the closes from each shoulder. The back is not left out and has its own bold embellishment. The paste rhinestones highlight all the frog knots and the intricate designs that sit at the from and back. It looks like it has never been worn. Excellent condition
Fully lined in an ivory silky rayon. It closes with frog closures down the front and the sleeves are held in place by from knots that are decorative rather then functional. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little. The cut will allow for a variety of sizes. Note that jackets are measured on the interior

This Chanel top is from the late eighties and yet it feels fresh and relevant for what is happening on the runways right now. The top is cut with a loose and easy to wear feel, almost a box shape. It almost has a bit of a flapper, twenties feel to it with the pleating and shape. It buttons off set down the front with a series of hidden buttons and to get to those hidden buttons from the center Karl used three gold buttons that angle down from the neckline. Each button has a little four leaf clover embossed onto it which I love. Flat knife pleats run down each side at the front and down the center of the back as well. Another gold 4 leaf clover button sits at each cuff Very well made as one would expect and very Chanel. Excellent condition
Three gold buttons at the neck and then a series of hidden buttons set off side under a pleat. Each cuff closes with a button. Unlined no size tag. The cut is generous so will easily fit a variety of sizes.

This great little Yves Saint Laurent jacket is an early example of his work and has one of the earliest labels dating it to the 1966-1970 period. It is made of a light wool that has a plain design running over it. It is cut in a classic and easy to wear box shape with a beautiful soft pleat detailing on the shoulders. This gives the shoulders that signature YSL look. It closes with a series of glossy little dome buttons down the front. A flat braid highlights all the edges of the jacket - another YSL signature form this time period. I love the front set pockets that give it the perfect finish. It is quite fabulous and a jacket is an easy way to mix in vintage with your current wardrobe. Excellent condition.

This is a versatile black blouse that is made from a semi-transparent silk chiffon by the now defunct D&G division of Dolce and Gabanna. It is really quite fabulous and very feminine in feel with its cascade of ruffles down the front. The ruffles completely cover the front of the top giving you a bit of coverage. That coverage against the absolute transparency of the rest of the top is what makes it so sexy. Each cuff buttons at the wrist so you get a bit of a pouf on the sleeve above. It is made of a gorgeous light weight black chiffon and I love the hidden set buttons that run down the front giving it that perfect high end feel. A classic. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closes with hidden set buttons down the front, except for the very top one that you see. Each sleeve buttons to close with two buttons. Tagged a size 44, all proper tags and hologram present.

I picked up this necklace many years ago and I believe it was produced sometime near the end of the Stella McCartney year for the house. It is a very unusual piece and for the Chloe collector one that you will love to have in your collection. It is made out of elongated and curved brass discs that are suspended together on flat hammered silver colored links. It has a choker feel around the neck and then drops down the front in a full looped 12" down the front. Really a unusual piece.
The part that circles the neck is 16" from end to end and the front drop is 12". It closes with a loop clasp at the back.

Iradj Moini is a renowned designer of couture jewelry with work and/or exhibited in several museums around the world including, the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Louvre Museum. This is a particularly beautiful piece that blends fresh water pearls with citrine, semi-precious stones and mother of pearl. Eight full strands of pearls circle the neck and meet at the huge brass clasp. This is a Iradj signature and the clasp on this piece is especially beautiful. It is adorned with stones, crystals and mother of pearl to form a beautiful spray of large flowers. The clasp slides into itself to close and the necklace is signed. Excellent condition.

This was issued for the 2007 collection and its inspiration is based on the original design first produced and created by Robert Goosens in the 1970s for Chanel. It is very large and has a good solid weight to it. The metal is a matte gold in color. Poured into each linked piece is Gripoix glass that has a touche of a glitter worked through the glass. The colors are kept soft and the glitter gives just a hint of sheen deep within the glass for a very beautiful effect. Three rounded crosses drop at the front, each increasing in size until the largest cross that is a full 3 and a half inches wide. The last cross is stacked with an extra layer of detailing in its construction. Each dropped portion of the necklace is topped with a large glass pearl. This comes to me straight from the closet of a high profile fashion editor. Excellent condition
15" long including the 8" drop. The largest cross is 3.5" wide. Adjustable. Lobster claw clasp. I see no markings but I know the source and I also did take it into Chanel and the girls recognized it immediately. Made in France. Guaranteed authentic. Original box.

This wonderful little jacket has a 1940s feel to it with its full, caped design. Muir made it from a deep navy suede that is very flattering and a touch softer then a black would be. Muir excelled at working with suede and leathers and I really love the pieces I find from her using either, though they are a bit harder to find. The cut of this jacket is so easy to wear. It is cut loose and easy through the body - really almost like a cape with sleeves. The sleeves have that same wide cut feel to them and each is cut extremely full and wide and at their ends they are actually a full 26" around. The neck and hem are defined with a band of matching suede and I love the little curved notches at each side. The sleeves are set into the shoulder with a series of pleats that give it those forties feel. It has no closure and just slips on over just about anything. Excellent condition.

I am almost certain this is Karl Lagerfeld for Jean Patou. The design on it is very reminiscent of some of his later work at Chloe and even work for Chanel now. That would date it to 1960-1963. It is a gorgeous little piece that has crisp, tight lines and is quite beautiful. The base of the jacket is a cotton velvet that gives it a deep matte black finish. Onto this is that incredible design. Gold glass tube beads are hand placed into vertical lines all the way around the jacket and on each sleeve. More of these tube beads edge the double row of tightly spaced sequins that run around the hem and and up and around the neckline. Each cuff has that same double row and I live that one row is done in an iridescent gold and the other in a pewter toned silver. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little and is a real little beauty. Excellent condition.

Henry Schreiner founded the Shreiner Jewelry Company in 1939 and by 1953 they were designing for their own line and also under the name of some of the top designers of the time like Adele Simpson, Norman Norell, and Christian Dior. Schreiner jewelry used gun-metal plating, bronze plating and gold plating for backing along with very expensive custom made special shaped stones made in Germany by skilled Czechoslovakian craftsmen. Pieces were made by hand and they never mass-produced.
This is an exceptional piece with an over-sized floral feeling medallion that is quite large - it actually measures a full 3 inches across and just over 4 inches long. This slips onto the gold chain with a hook and once detached can be worn as a brooch. A very unusual combination. The stones are poured glass and combine an opaque white with a bright orange and a yellow that pop against each other. I wore this in a shoot this past summer and have included two shots from that so you can see just how big the necklace is once on. It i s a beautiful piece of hand made costume jewellery.
The medallion is 3" x just over 4" and the chain is 16-19" long with a 1" drop. Hooks to adjust and the logo plate can be found on the back of the medallion. The medallion has a brooch closure as shown.

D’Orlan Jewellers Ltd. was founded in Toronto, Canada by Maurice Bradden in 1957. Mr Bradden produced his own label from this location and also supplied the jewellery for the Boucher company in Mew York. The line was known for for its high quality and workmanship. In 1984 he began producing the jewellery for Nina Ricci.
This is a fabulous gold toned and enamel pendant necklace that ends in a coiled "Celtic Knot" inspired design. The enamel is a deep cream and very glossy. The pendant is suspended on a coiled gold plated gilt snake chain that balances the weight of the pendant perfectly. It is a simple and striking piece that really showcases the craftmanship put into vintage costume jewellery.
The pendant measures 3" x 3" and is suspended by a loop and ball from from the chain that measures 16" from end to end. It closes with a clasp and the logo plate can be found on the back of the medallion.

I Have a Question
-- Yves Saint Laurent, 1977.
Yves Saint Laurent is one of the most influential fashion designers of our time and his jewels have as much relevance as his clothing. He created exquisite jewellery to complement each of his collections and the creations that incorporate poured glass and the vivid colors of his collections are among the most coveted.
This is an exceptional piece with an over-sized fringe tassle that I believe is a Coppola e Torro detail that is also combined with poured glass. YSL has his jewellery created by many different sources and Torro did many pieces For The Haute Couture designers including Elsa Schiaparelli, Valentino, Pucci, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Ken Scott And Roberta Di Camerino. I believe this is one such piece. It is large - the dangling pendant/brooch measures a full 6 inches long and 3 inches across the top portion. This pendant piece slips onto that a thick gold knot chain with a hook and once detached can be worn as a brooch. A very unusual combination. The round accent pieces are a mix of opaque and a more translucent poured glass, combining an opaque coral with blue and green. The tassel is feels like glass beads and are strands of green with each ending in a single red bead. It i s a beautiful piece of costume jewellery.
The pendant is 3" wide x 6" long and the chain is 16" with a slip closure. The logo plate can be found on the back of the pendant. The pendant has a large brooch closure as shown.

Donald Brooks started his boutique line in 1971, but he closed his business in 1973 giving us a small range in order to date this piece. The coat does double duty as it can be worn at two different lengths. It does this by having the bottom hem attach by a zipper and series of snaps cleverly set so that once zipped together it seems seamless both inside and out. When the bottom panel is in place it is supermodel long and the bottom panel of fur has the pelts set horizontally to contrast the vertical lines above it. Once this panel is removed the coat falls to just past the knee. The shape is simple and easy but it does have weight to it due to the sheer volume of fur. Love the huge collar. I believe this to be coyote but am not a fur expert. This one is not 100% perfect but presents as excellent overall. Please review condition notes below
Fully lined in a brown silky rayon. There is a fur hook present along the edge but is it the only one I see and the corresponding loop seems to be missing. There is a button high up behind the collar but no corresponding loop. The buyer would have to wear as is or have new hooks added to where they prefer them to be. There is a small amount of wear evident along the edges of the cuffs and at the front edge just under the collar. There is also a thinning to the pelt along the back bottom - please review the photos of each area. Priced accordingly and sold as is. Hidden pickets on each hip.

Fur coats are final sale

Is there anything better then a full length velvet Pucci skirt? I think they are one of my favorite vintage pieces and everyone should have one in their closet. The velvet ones like this one are the dreamiest. You can throw them on with just about anything and it works. The prints are so vibrant and bright that they act like a neutral and they work as well with flats as they do with a heel. Here we have a stunning version done in his signature vivid floral print screened onto a base of inky black. The cut is a sculptural A-line that falls to the floor in a graceful sweep of fabric. The borders at the waist, hem and down the front serve to highlight and streamline the cut and give you length. The velvet gives it enough weight to hold the shape so it always looks perfect once on. These can really be worn year round as they are made out of a cotton velvet so breathes well. It is just fantastic and I love it. Excellent condition
Lined in a black silk with the Emilio Pucci name woven through out the fabric. It closes with a side, hidden set painted metal zipper and hook and eye at the waist. Hand finished.

This pretty metallic skirt from Oscar de la Renta is made even prettier by the velvet applique work on it and braided cord finish. It is made of what feels like a light wool that has gold tread woven through it and its pattern so it glimmers in the light. Around the hem is velvet appliques on silk chiffon that are then applied on top of the skirt. The hen is finished wit a gold and red braid that also serves to give the skirt a touch of weight so it drapes perfectly. is it incredibly versatile as an evening piece - you could potentially pair it with anything from a simple white tee to an extravagant couture piece. Note that is has been altered at the waist but it is well done. Please review the full condition notes below. Otherwise excellent condition
Fully lined in a black silk organza and closes with flat hook & eye at the waist and snaps. It has had an extension tot he waist added at some point to make it larger. You could reverse this if you needed a smaller waistline.

I Have a Question
This fabulous Malcolm Starr skirt has lost its label but since I have sold its twin a couple of times over the years I can absolute;y say this is the real thing. I love these Malcolm Starr pieces - they really are works of art and the best of the sixties/seventies arts and crafts movement. This was designed when Youssef Rizkallah headed the company so would have been made between the years of 1969 and 1975. The years that Youssef headed the line are among some of my favorites and in particular his pieces that utilize applique work like this skirt are truly iconic. Rizkallah was born in Egypt and studied at the Ecole de dessin appliqué and the Ecole des arts decoratifs in Paris. His designs seem to combine that sense of couture lines that he gained in Paris with the color and vividness of his homeland. There is something shockingly fresh about wearing an elaborate and colorful maxi skirt with a chic modern top and shoes. This one has been done in a luxurious black velvet with the most amazing, bright felt flowers appliqued onto it in vertical rows. You cannot look at this piece with its happy little flowers and not feel wonderful. It is an amazing combination of color and textures. Excellent condition

As the legend goes, the sleeping bag coat was invented by Norma Kamali after a camping trip. Here is the story in her own words from an interview with the NY Times: After splitting with her husband, Mohammed (Eddie) Kamali, in the mid-1970s, she took to camping in the woods with a boyfriend. “It was cold,” she recalled, “and I was always getting up at night to go to the bathroom.” On one particularly nippy night, she threw on her sleeping bag and sprinted for the bush. “As I was running,” she said, “I was thinking, ‘I need to put sleeves in this thing.” (also see her below in a wonderful video we found talking about the origins of that coat from the Norma Kamali you tube channel.
From there the rest is history and this coat and its many versions since then, have become synonymous with her name and spurned a versions and inspirations every winter season since by countless other designers. This version is from the eighties and has a more flared and dramatic silhouette then the short one you see in the video that is more modern. It is also longer, cut tot he knee and the hood is very dramatic and can be worn down as a giant shawl collar or up and over the head as a hood. The sleeves are cut with her signature length and the waist can be cinched in as tiny as you want with the attached tie. I just love that huge flared bottom/ That and the shawl collar/hood is where all the drama comes from. It is remarkably warm - in the video below Norma explains just why that is. Its a forever classic that will never go out of style. I love it and have to tell you that it was a very hard piece to list and let go of so its does not go quick - it may go into my own closet. Excellent condition.

Liza Bruce started designing high end Swimwear in 1982 and she was known for her use of Lycra which made her suits cling to the body. She used as little seaming as possible in her suits and structured her suits to emphasize a girls curves while narrowing the body. This version is a fabulous coral and orange and is actually made up of two separate pieces that are worn layered over each other. I have put the coral layer over the orange one and probably even wear them over other pieces you already own. This is the best of eighties swimwear and still feels modern now. Excellent condition

After Chanel’s death in 1971, several of her assistants designed the couture line as well as the ready-to-wear line launched in 1978. They continued to do so until Karl Lagerfeld took over the haute couture design in 1983 and later the ready-to-wear in 1984. The Chanel Creations label was retired upon Karl’s arrival and from what I can research it was only launched upon Gabrielle’s death for that ready to wear line.
This is a fantastic Chanel knit cardigan made from a wool that feels like it has just a touch of mohair in it so that it has a wonderful soft and cozy feel. This is classic Chanel and instantly recognizable as being from the house with its gold logo buttons running down the front. It is the kind of piece that will never go out of style. I love the classic Chanel suiting feel that is has with its two front set pockets and the gold toned embossed buttons that decorate it just add to the sense of opulence. The end result is that pure high end luxury that Chanel always delivers. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closes down the front with Chanel gold colored logo buttons. The buttons show some patina from normal wear and are age appropriate. Its easy fitting style will suit a range of sizes. Note the color is more of a camel tone in person and less a yellow undertone then how it photographed

This is a fabulous and versatile piece by cult label Comme des Garcon. It is cut almost as if it was turned upside down before the label was placed into it to denote which side should go up. This "upside down" feel results in a huge collar that drapes down as you see here or could be worn more up and around the shoulders and head for a more avant garde feel. I suspect that this is a piece that you could wear almost anyway that you could think up on how to style it. The fabrication is incredible, made up of hundreds of little knit flowers all pieces together side by side like a blanket. Their signature, silver huge safety pin sits at the front.
Unlined with padding circling the arms for slight shape and support there once on. 100% wool and I see no size tag - this would fit a variety of sizes.

This chic little skirt would be from when Mark Jacobs was the Creative Director for the house. It is classic Jacobs with its mix of textiles and patterns. The upper band of the skirt is a mix of grosgrain ribbon and silk. This turns into a tweed that has a top layer of silk chiffon, set to give a slight pouf feel to the skirt. This is anchored to the lower portion of the skirt by more bands of grosgrain and the bottom hem is a luxurious olive colored silk velvet. The shape is sculpted and poufed and very couture in feel. These jackets were a Thea Porter signature and were introduced into her collections in 1975. The name 'Chazara' came form a type of butterfly and they were made in a multitude of fabrics and colors. Here we have a beautiful and deceptively simple version in an inky black silk velvet. Inside it is lined in a luxurious ivory silk satin. It is hip length with a long and lean cut. A Nuhru collar tops the hidden row of hook and eye that closes the front. In the book "Thea Porter; Bohemian Chic", author Laura McClaws Helms notes that these were inspired from 18th century military coats. Thea Porter pieces are becoming increasingly rare and this is a piece that you will wear for a lifetime. Excellent condition

This is a gorgeous little silk, matte satin finish Prada top that is in perfect, like new, condition. The blue is that signature Prada blue that is so deep it almost looks black in certain lights. The work on it is amazing and the entire body of the top is pleated and draped to perfection. I love the dramatic poufing cap sleeves and the neat and pointed collar. The the cut is fitted for shape and it has pretty pleat detailing across the shoulders and a ribbon finish that runs down the center seam at the back. A really beautiful top that will become a mainstay of your wardrobe. Excellent condition.

This is a classic Vivienne Westwood piece that plays on the 18th century in its design execution. I doubt that many labels in the world can equal Vivienne's amazing corsets and their iconic status. It is highly sculptural in feel with its wonderful draped panels layered and placed over and inner stiffened board. This is cut so that the bust is pushed up to suggest the style of corsets from the 1700s. It is fully boned through the back and has ties that you can wrap around your body and cinch to add even more shape if you wish. I love that is has her signature asymmetrical cut so it feels instantly recognizable. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
These little pullover vest tops were all the rage in the early 1970s and the Biba versions are the best of them. This one is amazing. It is an original Biba sequin vest done in bold zig zag stripes. I have had a few variations of this in the shop and I am always happy to find these. They are an easy way to add a bold pop of glitz to any outfit and work on their own or layered over or under other pieces.. This one has bold vertical stripes done in a vivid pink and deep purple. Every square inch of the entire top is completely covered in the tightly spaced sequins. The base is a stretch elastic knit. It is sleeveless and has a V neckline and just slips over the head to wear.. It is iconic Biba and a true piece of fashion history. Excellent condition with a small note below.
Unlined and slips over the head to wear. It is elasticized so stretches to fit. The measurements are the approx comfortable range but it would give a touch more if needed. The knit is a deeper purple then it photoed. Some of the sequins have peeled back a touch to show the silver underneath.

This is a spectacular and huge embroidered silk Chinese export shawl from the twenties. The floral design is particularly bright and vivid on this one and those brilliant pops of color are perfectly offset by the black silk backdrop. It is a spectacular explosion of flowers, birds and butterflies done in a satin stitch. The colors are as vibrant as the day it was done. Very dramatic and so wearable - you can use it as an evening cape or coat by adding a well placed brooch or use it in your home as a show-stopping accessory. The stitching appears to be primarily machine stitch with some finishes done by hand.
It is edged all the way around with a 20" inch hand knotted silk fringe border. The fringe is in good overall condition with minor wear/tangles to the ends which is normal for these. The inner silk embroidered square measures 60" x 60" making at a total of 80" square
This was lovingly stored properly and is in excellent condition despite being almost 100 years later. Any wear is natural patina and only adds to the beauty of this fabric.

This little hat is just fantastic and a wonderful fine. It is pink and the top covered in sequins. Ties extend from the back and tie leaving a keyhole that you can slip your hair through or leave as a decorative detail. This also allows this to fit on just about any size head. I have tied it a couple of ways but I really think that you could tie and style this endlessly around different hair dos. I adore it - it is so unusual and so unique. Excellent condition

This is such a pretty little scarf and when you realize all the work that would have went into it it feels even more special. I Have a Question
This fabulous little Ungaro top has a very pretty and romantic feel to it. It is made from a scarf weight silk that has a striped silk satin ribbon detailing worked directly into and throughout the fabric. Between the stripes, the fabric is semi-sheer which gives it light and whimsical feel. The body of the top is cut loose and easy. The sleeves are wonderful and each is cut with a slight fullness above the ruffle finished cuffs. This ruffle detail at the end of each sleeve perfectly ties in and picks up the same ruffle detailing on the high set collar. There is also an attached tie at the collar that is made from the same silk. This combination of a high ruffle and a tie gives the top a touch of high glamour. Flat, glossy yellow buttons are the perfect finishing touch. Excellent condition.

This rare Jeff Banks 1970s top is fantastic. It is made from a light, scarf weight silk crepe that is virtually weightless. The backdrop is a fine check brown and white and over that are clusters of fruit in shades of citrus, tangerines and taupe. Each cuff buttons with four spaced buttons on an extra wide cuff. Above the cuff the sleeve is cut extremely full in a huge balloon finish. The cut is slim and sexy and the collar is a long exaggerated version of his signature dog ear collar. It is amazing. This is an extremely rare piece and with the amazing work that Creative Director Alessandro Michele is doing with the house these days and his references to the past, it looks like it could be from the most current runway. The clothing from Gucci of the 1970s is among my favorites to find. They had a real sexy, hippie feel to them and were meant to be worn by the jet setting beautiful people of the day. The suede and leather pieces were all limited production pieces so are the rare and harder to find. This is an exceptional little top. It is made from a butter soft buckskin on a shade that is just off of white. It is sleeveless and zips up one side so that you can get it one and off. Once on it molds to the body. The front plnges extremely deep and to hold it in place is a classic buckle strap. Once on its sexy as hell and a very versatile piece. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closes with a side metal zipper and buckles at the front. Tagged a vintage Gucci 42. In clean as found condition, it has a very slight patina from normal usage and age with a slight grubbiness here and there but no true flaws other then natural patina.
