This belt is from the 1974 season and has the correct D stamp within a circle for that year. This is a classic and very chic Hermes belt. It is made of a deep brown crocodile leather and has the signature H buckle. The skin is still very supple, soft and shows no signs of dryness or cracks. The buckle is a gold metal and these would have been gold plated during this time period. To close the belt it just hooks into please under the buckle. Belts from this time period are quite rare and this one is in excellent condition with just a hint of natural patina to the hardware and leather. This just adds to its vintage appeal. Excellent condition
The belt is just under 32" from end to end x 75" wide. The buckle is 1.5" x 1". The belt is currently set to fit a about a 28" waist and can be adjusted up or down accordingly. There is only one hole to hook the buckle into and the size is all done by adjusting the other end. All appropriate stamps and blind marks. Authentic and appears to have been worn very little. There is a bit of a bend to the leather that is turned under the buckle from being adjusted to different lengths over the years but the leather is not cracked.

This belt would be from the Marc Bohan days of the Dior atelier. I love the wideness of it and how this allows you to really get a cinched in look if you wish. The belt is made of a slightly textured white leather with a simple slip buckle at the front that makes it super easy to adjust in size. Attached to the belt all the way around are 3D, raised round gold medallions that have an intricate design etched onto each of them. It looks to have been worn very little and has only a light patina to it from natural aging and minimal use. Excellent condition
33.5" x 2.5" and the buckle is 2.25" across. It will accommodate up to about 31" and if the buckle is perfectly centered between the medallions it is a 27" waist. Era appropriate logo stamp.

I Have a Question
This is a very pretty belt from the early 1980s by Emanuel Ungaro. The belt is a deep brown in color made from what looks to be alligator. set between a top and bottom row of gold metallic top stitching with a braided edge to finish. The buckle is gorgeous. It is made out of a metal that has with an open work floral design on either side. It hooks to close in the center of these and then flows across your front like a pretty piece of jewellery. It looks to have been worn very little if at all.
28.25" x 1.75" and the buckle is 4.75" across once hooked. There is some leather folded back under each side of the buckle - just under 3" on either side of you needed to adjust it (see provided photo). Era appropriate logo stamp.

I Have a Question
This is a wonderful skirt that has a Saks Fifth Avenue label but no other. The quality is very high so I suspect that it is a designer piece but if there ever was another label it is now lost to history. This is a wonderful example of early American cocktail wear that has a bit of a novelty flair to it. The exterior is a gorgeous, heavy silk brocade that has an amazing print worked into the fabric. The print is done in rows, and each row is made of costumed woman in various stages of a dance. Pops of pink, green and a gold made from a metallic thread make up the design that runs over the entire skirt. Inside it is fully lined in a dressmakers paper fabric that helps to hold the shape s that it has a full feel with or without a crinoline. Big flat pleats run all the way around the nipped in waist to give the skirt its volume. It is a dramatic statement piece and even more vibrant and bold in real life. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a soft beige, stiffening fabric. It closes with a back zipper that looks to be slightly more recent and has flat metal hook & eye at the waist. I chose not to photo it with a crinoline but you could add a light crinoline and get an even fuller, more rounded shape. There is a very wide hem turned up underneath as noted in the measurements below

I Have a Question
Bill Gibb was born in Scotland and moved to London to study fashion design at St Martin’s School of Art. Between 1969 and 1972 he worked as a freelance designer for the fashion house of Baccarat before launching his own company.
This wonderful knit poncho is typical of much of Gibb’s work in the 1970s as he explored knitwear.
Gibb was one of the most influential and famous designers in 1970s Britain and his clothes were sought out and worn by the rich and famous. This pale pink poncho cape piece is amazing and an absolute perfect example of his knitwear work. I love the easy, draped lines of this piece and how it can just layer over just about anything and look amazing. It almost has a slouchy cardigan feel to it and its design lies in some strange and wonderful mix of a cardigan, a coat and a poncho cape. The knit has a large paisley, folkloric-inspired design running through it that goes across the lower half. Pattern runs more densely down each arm as well. The cut through the body is very loose and easy and the arms defined by a simple seam. At the front it has three pairs of long pale green ties that you can use to close it a bit if you wish. This is an absolutely wonderful piece. Excellent overall condition with a minor note to review below.
Unlined and slips on to wear and you can tie it at the front. There looks to be a small well-done repair at the back that is more apparent from the inside then the exterior. One of the ties is a touch unraveled. I photoed both these and they are shown after the shot of the label.
It measures 49" flat across from the end of one sleeve to the other when laid out flat. It is 30" from top to bottom when measured the same way. Once on, it drapes down more at the sides as shown and lands just above the knee or so depending on your height at the longest points

I Have a Question
This John Galliano is incredible and looks to have never been used. It is a play on a classic twenties piece with his own twist. The fabric is a liquid silk that has been done in a rich muted gold tone.To this are hand knotted silk fringes that extend a full 18" from the edge of the scarf and add incredible movement.. The scarf is a double layer of the silk shaped into a large triangle. It is then embroidered with a large floral bouquet just above the point. An edging of flowers follows up the sides of the fringe. It is just incredible and a beautiful piece that adds an instant shot of glamour to any outfit and would also make an amazing display piece or be a gorgeous finish9ng piece for a wedding look. Excellent condition
Tagged and it also has John Galliano embroidered into the design on the scarf. Appears to have never been used.
Including the fringe on each side it is just under 10" long from end to end across the top longest part. It is just under 5" long from the top to the longest point of the triangle including the fringe

This top still has all of its original tags and sold for an incredible $3990 usd in the early to mid-2000s. It has beautiful lines and the effect of the densely sequinned pattern on the light silk chiffon is wonderful. It is sleeveless and the front plunges right to the waist. Below that the silk flares out and is quite full. The silk has been gathered just under where it is caught up at the front and this adds to the soft volume of the lower portion of the top. Where it is gathered, it is highlighted by a band of large rectangular stones that are set within a border of prong set rhinestones. More rhinestones anchor each of the bursts of muted gold sequins that make up the design covering the top. Depending on how tall you are and how brave you are you might even get away with wearing this as a micro mini with the right foundation garment under it. It is an incredible piece of modern day demi-couture. All original tag attached. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a fine, soft taupe colored silk chiffon and closes with a hidden set back zipper. All original tags and unworn. Tagged a modern 6 and comes with its original bag of replacement sequin and rhinestones.

I Have a Question
This is every inch that classic, couturier inspired, tent coat of the fifties and sixties except it has been done in a soft suede and has the option to cinch in the waist for added shape. I think the cut is wonderful. I have to say that the photos of it on the mannequin do not convey how great that this will sit on a real girl. If you are a fan of these coats then you already know how wonderful these are. To see one made of suede is not something you will see every day. The suede gives it enough body to hold the form and structure of the coat. The cut gives it lots of swing and volume. A pointed collar sits at the neck and each sleeve is cut wide and turns up to make a wide cuff. All of the volume comes out from the shoulder and once on it creates the most dramatic silhouette. It comes with its original matching belt and the suede is soft enough that it easily will cinch and tie for a completely different look and feel. I love the top stitched detailing where the panels of the coat connect and that is has hidden pockets on each hip. Excellent overall condition.
Lined in quilted rayon that is backed with padding. It buttons to close at the front. The suede shows some minor patina from age and normal wear but nothing that doesn't just add to its vintage character. Pockets sit on each hip. The cut will allow for a range of sizes. In person the color is a touch more vibrant and even better.

I Have a Question
Anna Molinari and husband Gianpaolo Tarabini launched the Blumarine label in 1977 out of Capri and had their first catwalk show in 1980. By the 1990s they had opened their first stand alone shop. For the Autumn-Winter show of 2000-2001, they launched the special 'ultra-luxe cardigan', a unique one-off item with diamonds and pearls embroidered on the handcuffs, which became famous all over the world. This jacket an extension of that first ultra-lux cardigan idea and comes from just a couple of seasons later. My client originally paid just under $5000 for this when it was first issued.
The jacket is extraordinary. It is covered extensively in heavy, real metal discs, silver metal sequins and silver rings that are all hand applied onto the jacket. Carved squares and triangle beads that look to be mother of pearl are set in and among the silver. Fragments of shells created a 3D border around the pocket areas and everything is set on a ivory silk brocade. This gives the jacket a warm ivory tone and picks up the ivory and richness of the MOP and shells. The silver is muted and I love that there are little red tube beads interspersed though the design for the tiniest pop of color and even some prong set rhinestones in the mix. It hooks to close at the neck, highlighting the densely embellished collar, and then is open down the front under that. The cut has been kept simple so that the embellishment can take center stage. The sleeves are cut long and straight and the jacket is also cut straight and loose through the body. Big pockets sit on each hip and these have also been completely covered. It is heavy, but once on it feel perfectly balanced. I love how the bottom edge has the metal sequins trickling down over the silk underneath instead of ending in a solid finish of silver. It is just one more elaborate and special detail on a piece that is already ever so special. It is wonderful and far better in person then how it photoed. The overall feel is richer and more luminescent then how the camera could ever capture it. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a cotton muslin and closes with one hook at the neck. There may be the occasional metal sequin missing but nothing that leaves an super noticeable bare spot. It appears to have been worn very little if at all. The pockets has been hand tacked . Hand work throughout. The easy loose cut and drop shoulder design will allow it to fit a range of sizes. I Have a Question
This lovely Alberta Ferretti jacket still has its original retail price tag on it from the late 1990s. Even back then is was being sold for just over $3000 USD. It is made from a butter soft, light weight suede. The suede in this case has been treated more like a fabric then anything else and it has been both beaded and embellished. Silver metal tube beads are densely applied at the front of the jacket on either side of the opening. On all of the edges, running down the sleeves and defining the lower hem, are fused matte black metal pieces that form the designs that you see. This treatments has also been applied down the center of the back to emphasize the cut. The collar is neat and kept small and high and the shoulders, while structured, are kept soft with no padding. The sleeves are cut straight and long to be able to show off the embellishment on them. Through the body, the jacket nips in at the waist and then flares out slightly at the front. At the back, it has a little bit of extra flare created by an inverted pleat just below the waist. The suede gives it that soft, lived in vintage feel, but this is deliberate as its never been worn and the original tags are still attached. Excellent condition.

I Have a Question
This is a slightly less intricate version of the Look 20 jacket that Carmen Kass wore on the Spring 2002 runway. Vogue's review of the collection said in part 'Versace's collection could have been designed specifically for Lopez and her fellow members of the red-hot diva society.' This was specifically noted since the then newlywed Lopez showed up to attend this show and caused a bit of a stir.
I love this jacket and I think it is even better in person. It was a touch too small on my dress form so is not sitting exactly how I would have liked it to. You also don't get the sense of movement from the fringe that runs down the front that you do when you see it on and in person. The leather used is butter soft and the fringes are equally as light and soft. This gives them tremendous movement and in person they act more like a fabric then leather. The jacket is cut long through the body just like ton the runway. It nips in slightly at the waist and the shoulders are structured but sift with no extra padding. I love the braided leather cord detail woven through the edge of the collar, cuffs and around the hem. It has hidden hooks to close it down the front and pockets on each hip. It is fabulous. Excellent condition
Unlined through the body and closes with hidden hooks down the front. There is a partial lining set through the upper shoulder and into the sleeves. The leather is butter soft and light in weight. I Have a Question
This jacket is amazing. The suede is butter soft and the detail that has gone into it is unreal. It is the Ralph Lauren purple label and has a Unite Union label present as well. The particular version of the union label dates to the 1995-2004 range and my client remembers buying this in the late 1990s so I am confident of that date between these two clues. The suede has been treated more like a fabric for this piece and the design has an intricate pleated effect that helps to define the lines of the jacket. The pleats run down each sleeve and are used heavily on the front and back. There they are set to angle in towards the center of the jacket. It nips in at the waist and the flares out in an elaborate ruffle edges peplum. More ruffles cascade down the front. It has an almost Victorian feel to it and it is just wonderful. However much you like it in the photos, it is better in real life. I have had the photos lightened ever so slightly so you can see the full details on it. It is a touch deeper black in tone in person. Excellent condition.

I Have a Question
I am not sure that I have ever seen in person a more beautiful example of the type of 3D embroidery and lace work that was being done during this time period. The top is truly a work of art and it is in remarkable condition for its age. It is made out of very fine and light silk netting that is backed in a white muslin. This layered effect gives the top its first bit of depth. Onto the netting 3D embroidery work has been done to add more depth to the design. Hundreds and hundreds of little handmade spheres cover the tops surface. This is interspersed around panels of fine French lace and embroidery. Little designs trail across and in between, all embroidered directly onto the lace. I have included lots of details shots and none can come close to actually seeing the fine workmanship in person. The neckline is set high and the tops nips in at the waist. A pretty little split peplum circles all around the upper hip. The top hooks to close under the lace down the back. The final finishing touch are those spectacular sleeves that are very full through the shoulder to just under the elbow and then hug the arm in a long and elaborate cuff. Excellent condition
It is fully lined in a hand set fine white muslin including the sleeves. The lining may have been updated at a later date and is immaculate. It closes with a series of hidden hook & eye down the back to the waist. Each cuff has a series of buttons to close it. There is a hook or two that only have 1/2 of their closure. It is still very white in color and appears to have never been worn, or worn very little.

Note that antique and twenties pieces are final sale. They will be packed exceedingly well and we only sell pieces that will stand up to the stress of shipping, however, having pieces potentially shipped multiple times through multiple customs and countries is too hard on garments that are historically important and deserve to be treated with love and care. Please purchase accordingly.

I Have a Question
When I look at this top I am instantly reminded of the type of silk you would choose to make a men's tie out of. It is very light in weight and has that same feeling that you would see in a Hermes tie. It has lot of 'men's' detailing to like the extra button up on the cuff opening and the turned down collar and button down feel of it. It all adds up to make it feel like an instant classic. I also love the chic neutral feel it has. Style wise, it has a simple, pointed collar and buttons down the front. Each cuff has a two buttons on the actual cuff and then another to close the opening above. The sleeves are cut so they have a bit of a pouf over the wrist. Made of a gorgeous, fine grade silk. Excellent condition
The top is unlined and closes with buttons down the front. Each sleeve buttons to close with two size choices and there is an extra button higher up the cuff as well. Generous in cut so should fit a range of sizes.

This is an amazing pair of dress shorts from the Chloe label of the 1980s and looks like they were never worn. They have a high end, minimalist feel that is combined with the easy laid back power dressing of the working girl of that time. They are cut with a nipped in waist and have a classic flat pleat suit trouser feel, a play on a man's suit trouser. The fabric choice is also a play on men's suiting and are made from a light wool with a checked black and grey pattern woven though them. The length of the short ends just about the knee depending on how tall you are and I love the slant pockets on each hip and the button slip ones at the back. Excellent condition.
The shorts are unlined and closes with a zipper and buttons at the back waist. Pockets on each hip. Note that I photoed them both flat on a hanger and on the partial dress form where they look more abruptly cinched at the waist then they are in real life. Please note the shape of the first two photos and use the dress form ones only to see how it fits around the hips etc.

I just love a great black dot on white print and this is what covers the surface of this wonderful Ungaro top. It is made from a scarf weight silk that is light and easy to wear. It also a secondary design woven into the silk that depicts little ocean fishing motifs - octopus, fish etc. The sleeves are cut with just a slight fullness above the cuffs. They are inset into the shoulder with gathers so are a touch fuller at the top. The body of the top is cut loose and easy as it falls from the padded shoulders. I love the high collar that is designed to stand up to frame the neck. It even has a little hidden silk covered snap that closes it off perfectly and holds it exactly in place. This all high eighties chic. Excellent condition with a very minor note below.
Unlined and buttons down the front. Each cuff buttons to close. Padded shoulders. The loose and easy fit should work on a range of sizes. Note that there is perhaps the very faintest feel of grubbiness to the collar and cuff areas but it is extremely faint. I am being very picky

I Have a Question
During the 1980s, Jenny Lewis "dazzled the fashion world with her exquisite Chinese silk gowns, elaborately embroidered, and her beaded and sequined dresses that recalled the gay abandon of the Twenties. Her rise in the fashion world was meteoric, and her shining creations, which cost almost as much as a Paris gown, were worn at the best parties in town. At the height of her career, Lewis starred at fashion shows in Harrods, & Harvey Nichols attended by royalty the Governor of Hong Kong and the London elite. “My collection was the main focus of all the windows & my beaded dresses were the focus of the finales. I stood there thinking “these are my nights, my England,” recalls Lewis."
This is a gorgeous little jacket that is quite beautiful and intricate. The base of the jacket is a deep yellow silk brocade that has a secondary pattern woven through it. The edges of the jacket are finished with a different pattern in the silk brocade to create beautiful wide borders. On each sleeve these are separated by a third silk brocade ribbon and the edges are all finished with a black silk piping. At the front there is an elaborate square panel set on top of the silk. This is done primarily in a blue but has many other colors running through it to make up the design you see. This panel has been all hand embroidered by finely done needlepoint. The entire jacket is extremely well finished. I love how the sleeves are cut very wide and full and through the body it also widens as it nears the hem with little notches at each side. It closes at the front with frog knots made out of gold toned metal buttons and silk loops. Perhaps my favorite part of the jacket it this embroidered crane that sits at the front, divided into two parts on either side of the button set there. It is attached to the jacket so that is sits partially off the silk so has a bit of a 3D quality and feels like it might take flight at any moment. The jacket appears to have never been worn, or worn very little and is seriously gorgeous. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a yellow silk that is hand set. It closes with metal buttons and silk loops that run down the front. Light padding in each shoulder. The easy cut should allow it to fit a range of sizes and just sit more over-sized on smaller frames. Appears to have been worn very little if at all. One tiny mark on one sleeve that is very faint.

I Have a Question
I love this jacket and think it is a beautiful example of Ferre's work during his time as Creative Director for Dior. The twin of this piece walked the runway and I have included the video of the piece in its debut as well as a still capturing it on the catwalk. The tag is numbered which for the boutique line label usually denotes a custom order or an order by an established client during this time period.
On the runway this was one of the pieces that was used to really show movement during the show. Because it was swung about, it gave us only the shortest glimpse of the details it has, but thankfully we get to see it in all its glory here. The jacket itself is fairly simple in cut. The sleeves are cut straight and wide and the body of the jacket falls from the shoulders in a classic swing silhouette. As it nears the hem the volume becomes more and more apparent and it is very loose and full so should fit almost any frame. There are no closures at the front and it is the kind of piece that you can literally slip over anything and it will work. The beauty of this one is in the heavy metal embellishments that were the cornerstone of this runway shows theme. Running down each cuff is a large design made of individually set pieces made out of cut-work and filigree silver metal. These are set within an intricate pattern of gold metal thread embroidered directly into the fabric. It is further embellished with beads and crystals. At the low front towards the hem, are two elaborate metal pieces, attached to glossy round gold and black rings. These hang suspended from the heavy silk braiding that runs down the front. The two top portions are attached by wrapped silver metal cording and at the bottom of each of these flat tassels is an attached woven fabric piece that is embellished with silver cording, crystals and beads. These are also set within an elaborate gold metal thread design and each is attached only at their tops so they hang off from the jacket. Finishing it off are pockets set in the hips. It is remarkable, extremely well made and my client says that it was never worn. One of my favorite pieces. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a black silk and it has no closures at the front. The tag is numbered 54907 and it is a size 36. The extremely generous cut should fit a full range of sizes and just feel more oversized on smaller frames

I Have a Question
The Western world in the twenties and thirties had a great fascination with all things oriental and places in the Far East began to export pieces made specifically for the tourist market. These pieces combined classic design elements of the Asian culture with a slight western twist to the cut and colors. These little silk jackets where among the most prized of the era and this one is a beautiful example of the period. It is made of a pretty pastel hued green silk that is woven through with a secondary thread to create the design that you see over the outer surface. The inside is a brilliant red silk that offers high contrast every time you get a peak of the interior. This is a lovely example of the textiles being produced during this time period. It is not the piece that was shown under the jacket I also have listed today but the piece worn just slightly later in the show. The tag is numbered which for the boutique line label usually denotes a custom order or an order by an established client during this time period.
Again we see Ferre's ability to mix textures and fabrics flawlessly in this top from the runway. The top is sleeveless and zips up the back to allow you to be able to get in and out of it. It is slightly cropped so that you get a glimpse of midriff when worn. This slight cropping also allows those waxed cored wrapped, round little tassels, to be fully showcased against the bare skin. The back is a wool jersey knit so has a touch of stretch and added comfort once on the body. The front is made of waxed silk cord set into a intricate knotted pattern and backed with a fine silk. It is remarkable, extremely well made and appears to have been worn very little if at all. Excellent condition.
The front panel is lined in a hand set and the back is unlined. It closes with a hand set zipper at the back. The tag is numbered 32354

I Have a Question
Alice Pollock launched the Quorum label inthe early 1960s and soon after she partnered with Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell. They were the primary designers behind the clothing in the Quorum shop from 1965 to 1973. This top was surely designed by Ossie Clark as it has all the hallmarks of his work and is made from one of his most often used, signature fabrics; a moss crepe. It is very representative of this time period with its sharply pointed collar that is cut to be on the larger size. The shape is meant to skim and flatter the body and the buttons down the front can be left open to as low as you dare. It is the sleeves on this one that make it so exceptional though. Each dramatically flares out to be very wide by the time the reach the cuff. They are also cut on a curve and they button in tightly around the wrist and then just drop and flare out below that. I attempted to take a photo of the sleeve lying fat and of it straight on towards the wrist opening but they don't give the best idea - the sleeves are very long and full and even the picture does not come close to showing how wonderful this is. Trust me when I say it is far far better on and in person. This is a rare and early piece of Ossie's work. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
I love this beautiful printed silk blouse by Jean-Louis Scherrer. It is really quite fabulous and has an amazing print that mixes an unusual blue with black and pops of green. The silk itself also has print that runs over its surface and the combination of these elements is very interesting as it catches the light. Really fabulous. At the neck is an attached tie made of the same fabric and this is set in an asymmetrical manner with one end longer then the other. This allows you to tie it to just off the side and the ends fall perfectly as a result. It is made of a gorgeous light weight, fine grade silk and the buttons are hidden under a panel that runs down the front so you get no break in the line. Excellent condition.

This wonderful Ungaro top has a gorgeous design that is accented by little rows of buttons. These buttons run across the top of one shoulder, down the side of the waist and down each cuff. They are both a pretty detail and practical and they are cleverly placed to allow you to be able to get in and put of the top. The sleeves are cut in a modified version of the traditional 'Leg of Mutton' sleeve where the sleeve is very wide and full on the upper part of it and then tapers down as it nears the wrist. All of the buttons on the cuffs are functional, as are the others as well. The ones at the side of the waist help to really cinch it in and give it shape. On the shoulder they allow you to get into it and then once down up the neck can be further adjusted by the long attached ties. The shoulders have string padding for shape. The top is made from a scarf weight silk that has a gorgeous dot print covering its entire surface. It is all drama and high eighties glamour. Excellent condition.

This is a gorgeous Givenchy Shetland wool sweater done in a ivory and soft taupe. The cut is oversized and cozy and feels like a glitzed up version of the perfect outdoor sweater. It is the kind of piece that will never go out of style. It feels both comfortable amd luxurious when worn. The neckline is scooped with an interesting little half collar set on the front and back and then it meets and crosses over itself slightly at the sides. The sleeves come out of the sides of the sweater and are start out extra wide and then taper in as they reach the ribbed cuffs. I love how the pattern helps to define the cut of the sweater. Set into this pattern are hand placed appliques that combine big paste stones, sequins and beads. This gives the sweater a bit of high glamour and sparkle. The result is pure high end luxury. Excellent overall condition with one small items to note below.
Unlined and slips over the head to wear. The bead and sequin details are hand sewn and placed. Numbered on the tag. The fabric does have stretch so should fit a range of sizes. There is a spot on the back of one sleeve that may come out further with another round of additional cleaning.

This is a fantastic 100% Scottish cashmere Givenchy sweater that combines a black with a deep fuschia. The cut makes it a beautiful classic and I love the beautiful rich color that the pink portions have. It is the kind of piece that will never go out of style. It is made of the finest cashmere in the world and feel amazing and luxurious when worn. The neckline is scooped and the sleeves are set to slightly taper in as they reach the cuff. The upper portion of the sweater is done in the pink and set over this and placed by hand are four gorgeous appliques that sweep up to the shoulder. These are finished with hand set bead work and sequins and give the sweater a bit of high glamour. The result is pure high end luxury. This one also comes with a matching cashmere scarf that also combines the two colors, giving you that much more versatility. Excellent condition.

This sweater is everything you want from a sweater from this time period of the Sonia Rykiel label. It is so good it's ridiculous. It is made from a soft wool knit and combines a dusky pinky-taupe with a black. The colors are laid out in horizontal stripes. The cuffs and waist are finished with wider bands of ribbed knit. The sleeves are cut to be full above the ribbed cuffs. The collar is also done in black and crosses over its elf and buttons into place. I love that the wider black stripes are detailed with prong set rhinestones all around the body of the sweater and on each sleeve. This gives the sweater a subtle glimmer that is fabulous. Excellent condition.

I Have a Question
This fabulous jacket is by Jean Paul Gaultier and is a wonderful example of the kind of tailoring he was doing during this time period. It also shows his level of innovation at this time by taking what at first glance appears to be a basic black jacket and switching up some of its elements to make it his own statement. The jacket is lined with that odd shade of a deep acidic mustard that he favored. So you get this flash of color when you wear it open. It is structured like a men's suit with formal lines and a crisp cut. Flap pockets sit on each hip and another one sits above the breast. But it is curved in through the waist to flatter the female figure. It also has a beautiful Fleur-de-Lis design incorporated into the black lace collar. There the thread is of a heavier weight so that the collar has structure and body but still with the feminine touch of the black lace. It is fabulous. Excellent condition
Fully lined in ribbed silk and closes with the buttons down the front. There are three pockets on the outside and a 4th button pocket on the inside of the jacket. It appears to have been worn very little if at all. Tagged a vintage JPG 38. The shoulders are lightly padded and slightly exaggerated so they extend past the natural shoulder

This is a gorgeous little jacket that displays what was loved about her work and is quite beautiful. The base of the jacket is a black silk and then onto this is that incredible design that you see. Iridescent beads and sequins are hand placed over the entire jacket and down each sleeve. The entire jacket is hand done and covered in the beads and sequins. The upper shoulders are densely covered and this carries around the back. On each side of the front and on the back are mystical creatures entirely executed from bead work. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little and is a real little beauty. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a black silk that is hand set. It closes with tiny silk covered snaps tone that run down the front. Light padding in each shoulder

I Have a Question
The twin of this jacket was Look 54 on the Fall 1989 runway and it was worn by none other then Beverly Peele. There is was styled with a crop pant, matching tights and gloves and a crisp white short underneath. Vogue's fashion journalist Laird Borrelli-Persson review offers an interesting glimpse of the early Alaia noting that 'Azzedine Alaïa was associated not only with a body-conscious look, but with a corner of Paris as well. The live/work space the designer built in the Marais, would become a welcoming mecca to models and clients, but it was unfinished when the designer presented his Fall 1989 show a month after the regular season ended. Alaïa famously presented on his own schedule, i.e. when he felt finished, and not according to a calendar date. According to The Los Angeles Times, the glass-roofed space was leaky, dampening the models as they paraded in a collection that underlined some of the tropes the designer had staked out as his own'.
Alaia's first ready to wear collection was in 1980 and just the year before he had opened his first boutiques in LA, NYC and Paris. That makes this a very early example of his work as he was just beginning the journey to branch outwards. The jacket is made from a rich velvet that is done in a deep deep blue. The choice of velvet gives the color extra depth and it also allows him to shape and sculpt it as he wished. The collar and front seams are finished with a wide, matte fabric in black for contrast. The collar is rounded and set so that it always sits slightly up and I love how the buttons glide through hidden set button holes set along the seam where the ribbon and velvet meet. On each hip is a pocket set with a button closure and they have a slight curving shape and are set to emphasize the hip. You can see the beginnings of that exaggerated hourglass silhouette that he would become known for in the shape of this piece. Beautifully tailored and perfect in every way. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
This is a wonderful little black coat by the Dior label that has a strong nod to the 1940s in the way it is cut. The top portion of the coat has lovely rounded shoulders whose seams are set to run across the shoulder and down the sleeve so there is no break where the sleeve is set in. The sleeves are cut slightly wider at the top and narrow down a touch as they near the cuffs. It cinches in at the waist and then flares out dramatically for the lower part of the coat. I would bet that if you laid it out flat you could easily get a full proper circle out of the fabric of the coat, it is that full, This of course lends to tremendous movement when you move. The coat buttons up the front with black matte satin covered buttons and the collar is finished with the same. It is very chic once on. Excellent condition

I just love the print that covers the surface of this wonderful Ungaro top. Its bright and cheerful with a purple, yellow and red print on a blue backdrop. It is made from a scarf weight silk that holds that bright color beautifully. The sleeves are wonderful and each is cut with a slight fullness above the cuffs. They are inset into the shoulder with gathers so are a touch fuller at the top. The body of the top is cut loose and easy as it falls from the padded shoulders. I love the high collar that is designed to stand up to frame the neck. It even has a little hidden snap that closes it off perfectly and holds it exactly in place. It's all drama and high eighties glamour. Excellent condition.

This fabulous little Ungaro top has a gorgeous design in the way that it wraps to close. The entire front of the top crosses over itself to button along the side seam with a series of tightly spaced buttons and loops. Inside it buttons into place to ensure that it sits perfectly. Along the edge of that cross over front, the fabric has been flat pleated to give a nice contrast to the elaborate print that covers the silk. The sleeves are cut in a modified version of the traditional 'Leg of Mutton' sleeve where the sleeve is very wide and full on the upper part of it and then tapers down as it nears the wrist. The top is made from a scarf weight silk that has a gorgeous print covering its entire surface. The body of the top is cut loose and easy as it falls from the padded shoulders. I love the high collar that is designed to stand up to frame the neck. Excellent condition.

I Have a Question
This fabulous little Ungaro top has the most amazing sleeves and shoulders. The sleeves are cut in a 1980s version of the traditional 'Leg of Mutton' sleeve where the sleeve is very wide and full on the upper part of the arm and then it tapers down as it nears the wrist. Here this has been even more exaggerated and the lower half of the sleeve is finished with a zipper so that it can really fit the arm. This makes the fullness above the elbow even more dramatic. It is made from a scarf weight silk that has a abstract secondary detailing worked directly into and throughout the fabric. Over this are scattered dots in a multitude of colors. The body of the top is cut loose and easy as it falls from the strong, padded shoulders. I love the pleat work that runs down from each of those. The collar extends out to long ties in the same fabric at the neck. It's all drama and high eighties glamour. Excellent condition.

I Have a Question
I have two of these Mongolian furs in at the moment that are quite similar but do have a bit of a unique feel in the way that the fur is placed and the texture of the fur as well. This one is the slightly more creamy ivory color of the two and I think its better in person because of it. In stays a more true ivory in pretty much any light. Both are generously cut Mongolian fur jackets from the seventies. It appears to have never been worn little and is in very good condition. It is exceptionally long and shaggy and makes for quite the dramatic statement piece. The cut will work on a smaller frame to feel more over-sized, while the actual measurements will allow for a fuller framed girl to also carry it off. Excellent condition with one note to review below.
Fully lined with a cream silky matte satin. Closes with a front fur hooks. Please see notes above regrading the color in real life. There is an area near the bottom edge at the front that has a more pinkish undertone. I thought perhaps this was not natural but its the same tone as the other jacket so i think its a natural change in hue on the fur. I photoed it for your review - please see the final photo after the shot of the label. This was sold to me years ago as an Oscar de la Renta but the owner said the tag was removed at some point and it only has its shop tag now. It is very well made so that may very well be true. Note that it is in clean, as found condition and may have a touch of storage odor as a result. It was not cleaned and the price reflects that.

This is a wonderful cropped feather coat that has no label but seems to be well made and is quite fabulous. The color of the feathers is an ivory with some of the feathers having a secondary bit of natural greys and browns running down their tips. It has a fur hook to close it at the neck and the sleeves are long. I love the short crop to it and the way the front curves up to the neckline. Very rock and roll chic. It has that bit of a current Saint Laurent fare to it and the length means it can top just above anything. Excellent condition

I have a small collection of historically important, key designer labelled vintage furs, fur trimmed & feather pieces stored away in my archives that I will be slowly posting on the site over the next couple of years until I have none left. I will no longer be buying furs for the shop moving forward and have not purchased anything for several years now. I feel like times have changed and while there still is a place for vintage furs for some, including collectors and historians, many modern girls are choosing other options. Many of the pieces in my collection are representative of the designer during a set time period in history that was different then our modern outlook. I have decided that the best course to handle this controversial issue is to let the pieces I have go rather then sit in a cold storage unit. From the Spring 2007 Chloe runway is this wonderful little jacket that can be worn as a suit jacket or even a light outdoor jacket if layered over other pieces. It is made out of a muted dusty aubergine colored linen that has a wonderful texture. Lara Stine wore a version on the runway open and layered but I love it just as much properly buttoned and closed. When buttoned you really get the baby doll feel of it. The collar is small and rounded and detailed with tightly spaced rows of top stitching that follow the curved line of the collar. This same detail is picked up on each flap of the pockets. The sleeves are cut straight and cropped and the body of the jacket swings out in a full cut from the shoulders. I love the over-sized buttons and each appears to be a highly polished wood set in a silver toned base. It appears to have been worn very little. Excellent condition

This is a great little jacket by Burberry that is the perfect neutral and will pair with pretty much anything. It is a light khaki color and has great lines. The shoulders are shaped but not overly squared off and the sleeves are long with incredible cuffs. Each flips over at their ends and a row of three gold buttons sits above that for a slight nod to the military look. I Have a Question
This is a killer jacket with incredible lines from the Fall 2014 Isabel Marant runway. It was shown worn open in the show but it is even better closed and tied in my opinion. When worn closed you really get a sense of that incredible flaring at the hip and the tie belt gives it shape. The very bottom edge of the hip flare has an almost raw finish. The shoulders are rounded and high, with interior padding to hold that wonderful, rounded shape. Each sleeves ends in a wide flipped up cuff. It buttons at the front and the buttons are hidden under the front edges. The belt cinches the jacket's waist in. To huge front pockets are the perfect finish and each has an opening from both the top of the pocket and also from their outer sides so you can tuck your hands in if you wish. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little. Excellent condition

From the Spring 2015 collection comes this fabulous little mini from Balmain. On the runway it was shown in a longer length but was also produced as this micro mini for retail. With the craze for micro short pieces still going strong it almost feels more relevant now then it did when it came out. The skirt is made from a denim feeling thick cotton canvas fabric that both holds its shape and shapes the wearer. The design is a graphic white on black and the white is placed to highlight the lines of the skirt and the cures of the girl wearing it. It is cut to sit higher up on the waist to really give you a curved feel. It cinches in at the waist and flares out slightly as it nears the hem. I love the stark lines and the two pockets that sit on either hip. Unworn and with original tags. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a black ribbed silk and closes with their signature chunky back zipper. Tagged a 40. New and unworn with original hang tag still attached
Waist: 14.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 18" from waist to hem
Modern Sizing Equivalent: SML-MED

I Have a Question
This would have been designed and created under the eye of Marc Bohan for Dior and has the added distinction of coming directly from the daughter of the Haute Couture client who ordered it from the atelier. It has never been on the market prior to this offering. The top is exquisite and is entirely hand made as the parameters of Haute Couture define. It is literally like holding a little jewel in your hands and feels like a wisp of air once on despite its dense bead and sequin work. The silk chiffon used is of of the finest grade and you can feel the difference at first touch. The top opens like a card and you slip it on and zip it to close up one side and then hook the top shoulder on that same side. It is covered in a floral design made up of tiny gold and silver seed beads, and sequins all hand applied. I believe this to be the work of Lesage. The edges of the top are finished with more sequins and beads and also crystal rhinestones. It is truly exquisite and I cannot go on enough about the fine workmanship and sheer time that this would have taken to create. It is an absolute work of art and a stunning example of Haute Couture from this time period. No matter how amazing it looks in the photos it is even better in real life. Excellent condition
The body of the top is backed in a black silk chiffon and the hand done bead and sequin work is clearly visible through the fabric. It closes at the side with a hand set zipper and along the top of one shoulder with hook and eye. Entirely hand done, all original. I see one tiny bit of one row missing on one flower petal. See last photo. Perhaps a single bead or sequin may be missing elsewhere but nothing I see that was readily apparent

I Have a Question
From the Fall 2014 collection comes this fabulous little mini from designer Fausto Puglisi. With the craze for micro short pieces still going string it almost feels more relevant now then it did when it came out. The main portion of the skirt is made from a beautiful silk twill that has Lady Liberty printed on it in a repeating pattern of squares. They are printed in shades of a graduated grey on an ivory backdrop. The waist and edges are finished in a a border of black that has a little more weight to it so the shape of the skirt is held when on. It cinches in at the waist and flares out as it nears the hem. The front is made to look like a wrap and comes up slightly shorter for even more leg to show. Unworn and with original tags. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a black silk and closes with a hidden set back zipper. Tagged a 42. New and unworn with original hang tag still attached
Waist: 14" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 16.5" from waist to the shortest point of the front hem, 18" to the back hem

I Have a Question
This lovely little piece has the easy glamour of the late twenties, early 1930s and is still in remarkable condition. I believe this is a sheared beaver and it is a deep ink black. It flares out from the shoulders and has a wide collar that runs down each side of the front. Inside it is lined in a beautiful printed black silk that combines a floral print and a chevron print within the silk. When it is on, you get glimpses of this as you move and it adds a lovely texture and contrast to the fur. The pelts are supple and the shearing technique used gives it an interesting matte effect so it almost has the feel of an ultra plush velvet. Very chic. Excellent condition with one note to review below.
Fully lined with silk with long ribbons of silk set along the inner edge of each side to put your arms through if needed. The lining is in perfect condition. I found one small slit in the fur along the seam on one shoulder that appears stable. No closures and sits on the shoulders so will fit pretty much any size

I have a small collection of historically important, key designer labelled vintage furs and fur trimmed pieces stored away in my archives that I will be slowly posting on the site over the next couple of years until I have none left. Fur coats are final sale.

I Have a Question
A fabulous little find this coat combines the contrast of a stark black with the a creamy ivory. The bodice and sleeves are done in a short glossy fur that I believe is pony and the collar, cuffs and the skirting of the coat. The collar is cut to be oversized and the coat wraps over itself with a flared cut to the lower half of it. In real life and on a real body it has a more mod, baby doll feel then how it photoed sitting on my dress form. Each cuff ends in a rung of cream mink and the edges along the front closure has just a small line of that same mink running up and along it for contrast. Inside it is lined in a fun paisley that gives it a pop of color when you wear it open. I see minimal signs of wear. Excellent condition with a tiny note to review below.
Fully lined in a paisley printed fabric and closes with fur hooks at the front. I see a tiny bit of wear to the pony skin on the sleeves but this just adds to the vintage patina and presents no issues with the stability of the fur. The pelts are string and supple with no excessive shedding or wear otherwise. Pockets along each hip. Very well made.

Yves repeated various renditions of this hat throughout his collections during the 1980s. A version of this same hat has also just been re-issued by Saint Laurent, a testimony to the enduring impact of this design. This is one of the originals and is wonderful. It is made of an extremely fine braided straw with a wide black, silk grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the brim. The hat is a miniaturized version of the boater and meant to sit high on the head to the side or pushed forward. It has its original elastic that you can wear under the chin or tucked around the back of the head depending on how you angle the hat. It is very chic and collectible. Slight scuffing on the grosgrain. Excellent condition
21" circumference but meant to fit high on the head so will fit any head size. 2" high

I Have a Question
Gorgeous and huge, this beautiful Dior scarf is a mix of a red and white dot design screened onto a feather light silk chiffon. It is very large but the lightness of the fabric makes it very versatile - you can wrap and twist it as a scarf or use it as a light shawl. It is very light in weight and the size allows you to wear and style it a multitude of ways. It has the finest hand finished edge I have ever seen. The pattern combines two squares, the outer is white with red dots and the inner is red with white dots. It is signed within the print. My client was a Haute Couture client in the 1970s and this was from the Dior atelier in France and made for her. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
This Fall 2006 coat is a great example of the work that Marc Jacobs was doing during his time there as Creative Director and still feels fresh style wise now. It is made out of a beautiful fabric that mixes wool. mohair, alpaca and just a touch of nylon so that the fabric can move on the weft. It has a square front neckline that is highlighted by a mink fur collar. For those opposed to fur, the collar is easily detachable so that you can wear it without. It has a double breasted front with six buttons. The waist is seamed and the lower part of the coat set in with a bit of volume around the upper portion of the skirting of the coat. Each sleeve is cut long and lean with a single tuck above the cuff and five button detail running down at the wrist. At the hem there is a tiered box pleat ruffle for the perfect finish. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a light taupe silk through the body and ivory silk in the sleeves. It closes at the front with the buttons as shown and hidden fabric covered snaps under that. Pockets at the front of each hip. Tagged LV 42 and appears to have been worn little, if at all.

This is the second collection of headpieces for Shrimpton Couture, designed and made by hand by the talented Lucia Echavarría of the Magnetic Midnight label. Both this collection and the first that we did together draws its inspiration from some of the most famous headpieces in fashion’s history. Each collection, along with each individual headpiece, is exclusive to Shrimpton Couture.
This collection has been named Egyptomania and Lucia drew her inspiration from ancient Egyptian art and its presence in our cultural imagination. Egyptomania was a term used for the fascination with all things Egyptian in the nineteenth century, a fascination that spread to architecture, art and literature. The movement culminated in the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922; after which, Egyptian motifs pervaded modern culture, art and fashion, becoming an integral part of the language of Art Deco. Cleopatra, its most famous queen, and her countless portrayals in art, literature and film throughout history, equally embodies this fascination with a magnificent past.
Each of the twelve pieces in the collection plays tribute to the dialogue between old and new in a palette combining rich black and gold velvet with gold sequins, mirrors and beads with hints of turquoise, coral and blue. Each is a one of a kind, made by hand masterpiece that feels modern yet evocative and like an incredible vintage find that is both timeless and unique.
The Cleopatra headpiece features a black velvet base with gold beaded and sequined flowers embroidery and a gold beaded edge. This piece is entirely handmade and a one off. As a result it may have slight imperfections, which only add to the uniqueness of the piece. To clean any mirrored surfaces, please gently and carefully wipe with a soft cotton cloth moistened with alcohol. In order to protect this piece, please store it in the hard-sided box that it will ship in.
