Rare and wonderful hand cast panther belt done by New York accessories design, Christopher Ross. Dated 1985 these were gold plated and this one on the most luxurious of belt choice - a supple Ross signature snakeskin! These are getting very rare and this is an exceptional example of his work. It is the perfect finish to any outfit for an instant dash of chic! Item# A142
An important and very rare Alexander McQueen runway piece! From the S/S 2002 collection this amazing skirt was shown on the runway in both the white and a taupe version. This collection was named "The Dance of the Twisted Bull" and you can see the Spanish influence that Alexander McQueen strove for in this piece as clearly as he meant it to be seen. Pieces where ruffled, deconstructed and he played with the shape and lengths of the hem-lines. The waist in this was left wide and loose and was meant to be worn under a corseted waist belt and the wearer to gather it into place to create even more layers. What is remarkable is that all of that fabric is set in one long twisted spiral that wraps around the waist and creates those amazing layers and different hem lengths. It is made of the finest grade cotton and the edges finished with 8 tiers layers of raw edged ruffles. Iconic and exceptional and an outstanding example of his workmanship and genius! Item# S350
The fabric used for the exterior of this one of a kind evening clutch was taken from a 1970s silk maxi dress with a chic Studio 54 feel. The black silk has hand applied silver and black glitter - formed into a stunning Art Deco feeling design. This was the only clutch that was able to be made from the remnants of the dress so it is an absolute one of a kind.
Each bag is made entirely by hand through the collaborative efforts of Shrimpton & Marketa
14" wide x 8" tall folded, 12" tall unfolded, with black cotton twill lining pockets
Item# SM23
The fabric used for the exterior of this one of a kind day to evening clutch was taken from a very unique piece - the dress it was salvaged from was an original 1940s dress made of a cut out cotton! Huge florals are made from the design and the black base peeks out through the stamped out parts! It is a chic way to add individuality to any modern ensemble and the perfect vintage twist!
14" wide x 8" tall folded, 12" tall unfolded, with black cotton twill lining and pockets

A fantastic swing coat by Valentino in a bright and colorful mix of colors done in a over-sized plaid. I love the red lining that gives another bright flash of color when you move. The coat itself is made of a lightweight wool that is very comfortable to wear. The cut is a play on the loose sculptural styles of the fifties with lots of volume. The collar is bold and pointed and each sleeve is finished with a simple hem and left wide. All the volume comes out from the shoulder and when on creates the most dramatic silhouette. Huge front pockets sit on either side with big flap detailing. It is exception and wonderfully made and finished. Excellent condition.
The cut is very forgiving - my mannequin is a size 4-6 and it is not pinned on her. It will easily work as an over-sized garment on a smaller girl and work equally well on a larger frame. Fully lined in a solid red fine wool with no closures and big front flap pockets.

This is a gorgeous silk jersey top by Leonard that has a brilliant floral design that pops perfectly against the black background. Bright, tropical colors are mixed to perfection to produce this fabulous little easy to wear top. A high neck with full shoulder that narrow to skinny cuffs are the perfect finish. I love the wide elastic at the waist as it allows you to wear it high and bloused or lower on the hips. The fabric is extremely light weight and feels fantastic on. Excellent, seemingly unworn condition. Item# S351
An amazing scarf weight silk crepe pink and floral top from Ungaro. The fabric is wonderful - that rich, luxe feeling silk that feels like a dream and drapes perfectly when on. And the inside of this one is fulling lined in silk chiffon - adding to the high quality of construction for this top. The design is pure Ungaro with strong shoulders, skinny sleeves and a nipped in waist. A draped hip swag is added and scooped over one hip and is gathered at the waist on the other side. It's a sexy nod to the forties and really gives the wearer a bombshell figure. Pretty bouquets of bright flowers are screened onto the pink silk. A simple scoop neck and lots of quality construction finishes this gorgeous piece. Excellent, seemingly unworn condition! Item# S352
Pretty, feminine and romantic top by Ungaro that is made of a combination of a beautifully printed floral silk with a multi-colored ribbed elastic panel at the waist. Fall 2005's collection was called "The Man Who Knew Too Much". The Alexander McQueen site says of this collection:
"For the second time in his career, Alexander McQueen references The Birds for this collection a film that he remembers loving as a child principally because of the precise way in which the women featured choose to dress. Against a film-set backdrop flooded with red light models stride out in swing coats, pencil skirts, neat, cropped trousers and fitted chunky mohair all of which suit a modern-day Hitchcock heroine down to the ground. Given the source of inspiration this may be read as McQueen's interpretation of coordinated dressing almost vintage Hermes style crocodile sling-backs are teamed with matching handbags, for example. Hair is big, bouffant and blow dried and lips are painted true red."
This sweater was shown on the runway belted and worn low on the shoulders, with a slim cut skirt and high boots. You could easily wear that same look now and feel just as fresh. It is a chunky cable knit sweater with a bit of a sixties feel. Huge knit floral bouquets sit on the hip and on the opposite shoulder. for the perfect balancing act These give the sweater a quirky school girl prom feel but in an ever so edgy way mixed with that classic English countryside feel that McQueen so often worked into his collections. We have also included a reference photo of the piece as photoed for Vogue that season. It is an amazing piece from one of the greats. Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Fully lined through the body in a stretch nylon and slips over the head to wear. The exterior is a mix of wool and Alpaca. No size tag so please check actual measurements. The McQueen label is gone but it is guaranteed authentic and a twin to the runway picture.

Very rare and wonderful, this is an amazing full skirt from the fifties. These are not the easiest thing to find anymore and this one is a beauty! The floral bands starts at the wast and then appears again after two rows, then three, then fours and so on! The green and gold are a fabulous pop of color over the black base. The waist nips in and it is lined and very well made! It is a dramatic statement piece! Excellent condition

Killer vintage varsity jacket with a bit of quirky playfulness - how can you not love a jacket with the word Bambi embroidered across one of the flaps. These jackets are being knocked off by every designer put there but this is a one of a kind, real original and its fantastic. It is covered with flags and patches. How cool is this deep blue navel feeling jacket? It has no tags but it has that look and feel of a uniformed piece. The cut is classic with a double breasted front and flap pockets. Isabel Marant took the western theme this season and pushed it into a must have look. This Etro top is from a few seasons ago but suddenly seems right on trend for now! Cut like a tuxedo short it has a decidedly western flare to it with its blown up paisley print and insane addition of ruffles. The entire front is ruffled and what I love about this shirt is that the ruffles go up and around the collar! They sit under the pointed collar so ti naturally sits high up on the neck! Each cuff has more ruffles and it is just insanely fabulous! Original retail on this piece was near $1000. Mint condition!

This little sweater is so rare and so ffabulous I squealed when I saw it! It is by Catalina who are perhaps best known for their swimsuit but also did these fabulous little sweaters that girls would wear out and about. This one makes me instantly feel like it has been ice skating - paired with a full skirt and scarf it would have been the perfect topper! I love the deign that is worked through the knit down the front - it is slightly raised so has an extra dimension to it. Everything about it is darling from the braided finishes at the neck and cuffs to those fantastic pom poms hanging from the ties at the neck! Excellent condition! Item# S367
I love this little velvet Pucci jacket that you can also wear as a top. His velvet pieces have an extra layer pf texture to them because of the richness of the fabric that I just adore. This one is primarily done in a lime tinged mustard color with his signature brilliant patterns added over it. There are actually crazy little pop art birds worked into the design of this one - look closely on the front panel - you can see them looking like they are trotting up the hill A contrasting floral border finishes all the edges and the back is just a riot of color and design. It is gorgeous. Excellent condition! Item# S368
A sexy little top from the fashion-insider favorite - Tuleh. Made of a silk chiffon in an inky black, the front plunges almost to the waist. A gathered corset like 10" band of silk sits from that point down and buttons down the front. The buttons are set so you get a glimpse of skin between the two sides. Each sleeve billows out form the shoulder and is split to the cuff. The cuffs are the caught up in another gathered band of fabric that then buttons down the sides to mimic the front. Crazy risque and sexy. Excellent, appears unworn, condition! Item# S370
Designer and artist, Tachi Castillo lived in Taxco Mexico and made pieces like this fantastic embroidered skirt by hand for the tourist market. Examples of her work are in museums like the FIDM in Los Angeles. Castillo was creative and her work went outside the typical skirts you see form this time period that typically depict Mexican Folklore and village life. Skirts like this are the exception - this one for example depicts wild jungle animals - elephants, lions† giraffes and birds flit over it's surface, surrounded by brilliant flowers. The base is a thick cotton twill that gives the skirt body and each animal and flowers is hand done with a yarn. It is quite amazing! Excellent, museum quality condition. Item# S371
Fantastic Vivienne Westood authentic Anglomania denim skirt from the 1990s! We have been seeing lots of denim on the street style blogs and this is a great piece that has that causual feel of denim mixed with the sophistication and cut of a Westwood piece. The front is classic with slanted hip pockets and a lean curved cut. The back is all Westwood with its angled top pockets and its crazy "fishtail" design that gives this simple skirt its not so simple Westwood flair! It is a dramatic statement piece! Excellent condition

Gorgeous and decadent is the only way to describe this beautiful piece form Dries Van Noten. It is made of a scarf weight deep ink blue silk that is cut loose and easy as is typical of Dries. It can be worn as a top on its own or as a vest that you can layer. What really makes this piece remarkable is that 3 and a half inch wide panel of gold sequins - all tightly spaced and overlapped by hand, with gold lame fabric set on to suggest leaves amongst them. Beautiful and versatile piece! Excellent condition. Item# S373
Classic Oscar de la Renta from the Spring 2007 runway! I love the pretty, feminine feel of the floral pattern on the perfect shade of blue silk backdrop. A grosgrain ribbon acts as a waistband and the skirt flares out and then curves under at its hem to create a bit of a bubble effect. Hidden pockets sit along each side seam. Utterly Park Avenue princess and in excellent condition. Item# S374

A stupendous Christian Dior in a fabulous brown wool tweed that has all the hallmarks of a Dior and still feels fresh and relevant! I would date this as an early sixties piece and you can still see the influence of Christian's earlier ten year reign in that fabulous collar. When the jacket is buttoned fully the collar frames the face an a dramatic curve of wool. The double breasted front is long and skims over the waist and down the hips, curving to give an hourglass figure. The skirt is a simple A-line and balances that highlighted waist line. It is wonderfully made inside and out - the seaming in the inner jacket is fantastic and it has proper finishes throughout. You could easily wear the jacket on its own as light coat. It is a good weight - not a unwieldy when on but the weight one would expect from a suit of this time period. Excellent condition

I love this jacket - it is so chic and fabulous! Made of a a beautifully printed velvet in a rich, luxe coral color that has a stunning depiction of birds, trees and florals screened into the velvet. Bits of the design are done in a pale blue and this is picked up in the ice blue silk lining. The edges are finished in a wide braided cording that adds a nice rich feel. I love how each cuff ends in a point. The shoulders are amazing - each is high and has a strip of velvet running down their centers. It is a stunning and dramatic piece that you will be able to style in endless ways! Excellent condition.

This is an exceptional seventies long layered gypsy skirt with the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Paris label. The original Saint Laurent boutique opened in Paris in 1966 and I believe this to be from about 1970 or so based on the style and the label. It is a spectacular skirt made of a soft, almost fine flannel like brushed cotton on a pretty blue printed hue. The cut is amazing - fine flat seams are worked around the upper hip that open into the fullness of the skirt below. I a tiered ruffle finished the top payer and a second tier with a paisley design sits underneath! It is the ultimate hippie bohemian jet set piece! Excellent, appears unworn condition

A classic and hard to find 1950s circle skirt and this little beauty still has its Saks Fifth Avenue label to! It was almost certainly a designer pieces as well but sadly there is no longer any other tag. It has a very Claire McCardell feel to me and is a wonderful example of early American casual but with a nit of a French chi flair. The exterior is a gorgeous bias cut cotton with a bold blue print worked into the fabric. Inside it is fully lined in stiffened muslin so it has a full feel with or without a crinoline. Little side pockets are the perfect finish! It is a dramatic statement piece and the girl with a waist to fit it is one lucky girl indeed! Excellent condition
Fully lined in a white, stiffened muslin. It closes with a side painted metal zipper and metal hook & eye at the waist. I chose not to photo it with a crinoline under but you could add a light crinoline and get a very full round shape. It is still very full without it as photoed!

This is an insane and generously cut pink (!) Mongolian fur jacket form the seventies that is absolutely fabulous! I have seen many the Mongolian fur jackets but to find one that is a bubble gum shade of pink is something else! It appears to have never been worn and the "fur" is like new. It is exceptionally long and shaggy and makes for quite the dramatic statement! For the girl who has searched for the perfect pink coat..... The cut will work on a smaller frame if you have some height (my mannequin is a 4-6 and it is not pinned on her) and the actual measurements will allow for a fuller framed girl to also carry it off. I did not realize that this was from the 1920s till I found a similar one in The Met collection (click here to see). I think this one is even better - it is absolutely for a female given the Athenas lettering and the hand embroidered Marlene over the one pocket. It completely captures that time period and you can imagine the young cheerleader that would have worn it as she cheered on her beau! It has that rare, extremely personal touch that you can find only in vintage garments and it captures and important time in American history. I am not 100% sure what College this would have came from - if you know please send me a note and I will add that information. Either way it is a wonderful sweater and a rare piece of American history! Excellent condition.

Note that antique and twenties pieces are final sale. They will be packed exceedingly well and we only sell pieces that will stand up to the stress of shipping, however, having pieces potentially shipped multiple times through multiple customs and countries is too hard on garments that are historically important and deserve to be treated with love and care. Please purchase accordingly.
Unlined and closes with very early plastic buttons. One teeny stitch out for the fold of the front edge between the top and second button and two small pinholes near the seam that runs under one arm.

You never know what to expect with Yohji and this piece is the perfect example. It is basically a tube of fabric, printed one side with a buckle attached to the other. You cinch the belt to adjust it to fit. I have shown it as a strapless dress but I am sure it could also be styled as a skirt. You can also layer it over or under other pieces - with Yohji pieces the sky is the limit! The genius is in the simplicity that sense of not being able to pin it into any set category. Really interesting and versatile piece! The fabric is a very fine light wool mix and the print screened on top. Excellent condition!
Bust: 17" flat across from side seam to side seam (before buckling to cinch)
Waist: 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 35" from top to hem
Unlined and buckles to tighten as desired. There is the slightest of a nicking to the top of the fabric at the back on a small area. Not sure from what but it does not go through and is only noted when laying flat out - priced accordingly. Tagged a medium

A great little classic that has that bit of the Miuccia twist! Made of their signature techno fabric this skirt is a sweet little exaggerated A-line shape. The techno fabric packs and wears like a dream and has just enough weight to help hold the shape without seeming stiff. A wardrobe must have! Excellent, appears unworn condition
Waist: 14.5" from side seam to side seam
Hips: open
Total length: 24" from waist to hem
Fully lined in a black silky rayon. It closes with a back zipper. Tagged a modern 42

A truly wonderful 1950s skirt that is the most amazing striped design. It looks like a piece straight off the runways and yet dates from the mid to late 1950s. Made entirely of wool that is woven to form the striping that you see. I love how they contrast top to bottom! The front pockets are built along the top line of horizontal striping and are set to slightly† extend out from the top line so you know that they are there! Just a star of a piece! Excellent condition
Waist: 12î from side seam to side seam
Hips: open
Total length: 27î from waist to hem
Unlined and closes with a side painted metal zipper and hook & eye at the waist. I chose not to photo it with a crinoline under but you could add a light crinoline and get a very full round shape. It is still very full without it as photoed!

This early Matsuda skirt is genius and both weird and wonderful! The unusual fabric choice is a pinstriped men's suiting and the construction is equally unusual. The panels are draped and twisted around themselves creating elegant folds and curves. This gives the hem an organic, asymmetrical feel. The back of the skirt has a men's suit vest like gathering with a high notched waist detail there. Excellent condition
Waist: 12" from side seam to side seam
Hips: open
Total length: 29" from waist to hem
Unlined and closes with a side zipper and two buttons at the waist. There is a panel of elastic at the back that allows for a little give

Whiting and Davis patented machine made mesh in 1912 and the Whiting and Davis mesh bags went from being made one by one to being a phenomenon due to the reduced resulting cost of the bag. This is an early 1950s version that was probably made a few years after the end of the war. It is remarkable in that it looks so sixties or seventies but the label and lining all point to an earlier dating. The photos do not convey the fluidity of the mesh - holding a Whiting and Davis bag is an experience in itself, The metal almost feels alive under the hand. I love the double row of fringe on this one - it gives it such movement! A terrific little evening bag that is in remarkable condition!
7" W x .25" D x 7" H + a 2" fringe on the bottom.
The strap can be worn single and add 14" or worn doubled to add 7"
The bag is completely lined in a grosgrain ribbon textured rayon in a soft peach color. There is a slip pocket on one side.
Item# B114
There are no markings that I can find on this bag but it very well may be a very early Whiting and Davis piece. The mesh that tops the front and the back looks to have been done by hand and they were making bags as early as 1907. The photos do not convey the fluidity of the mesh - holding this bag is an experience in itself - the metal almost feels alive under the hand. Inside is everything a flapper would have needed - a tiny tube of lipstick sits in its own special slot and the remnants of a bright peach color still remain. A hinged gold compact opens to reveal pink talc powder - again still there after all this time and a money clip and mirror finish that side. The other hinges side opens to reveal a more open area that a girl would have tucked her cards into and perhaps a lovers note and picture. What more does a girl need? A modern girl will add a credit card and go! A terrific little evening bag that is in remarkable condition and an amazing glimpse into the past!
3" W x .75" D x 5.5" H. The strap adds 5.5"
There is one gold casing missing over a hinge along the back and perhaps a slight tarnishing/fading to the gold color on the strap in some areas - but it is very slight and this is natural patina - it is after all almost 100 years old!

Whiting and Davis patented machine made mesh in 1912 and the Whiting and Davis mesh bags went from being made one by one to being a phenomenon due to the reduced resulting cost of the bag. This is an early 1960s version that immediately conjures that space age movement and designers like Courreges and Rabanne! The photos do not convey the fluidity of the mesh - holding a Whiting and Davis bag is an experience in itself, The metal almost feels alive under the hand. I love the boldness and size of the mesh discs on this one -that combined with the shininess of the silver is amazing! A terrific little evening bag that is in remarkable condition!
7" W x .25" D x 8" H. The strap can be worn single and add 15" or worn doubled to add 7.5". It can also be tucked in completely
The bag is completely lined in a black finely ribbed textured rayon. It snaps to close under the front flap.

I adore this fabulous little cape - it is one of those amazing original and one of a kind pieces you can only find with vintage. The exterior base is a black knit that is entirely covered in rows of silver sequins, ribbons and beads, Little horizontal rows of ribbon are interspersed with beads to create that pretty effect. Between the rows it is heavily sequined and little half flowers are made out of the same ribbon and more bead work. The collar is entirely done in beads. The camera does not quite pic up the impact of the silver sequins - it is better in person! Excellent condition.
Shoulders: no defined seam but they are approx 14-15" across inside.
Total length: 22" from mid back of neck to bottom hem
The cape is fully lined in a black silky rayon. It closes down the front with a row of hidden hook and eye. The lining is hand set.
Modern Sizing Note: It is not the body on this piece but the shoulders - you do not want to be much past 15" flat across or it will not sit right

This cape is just utterly fantastic! The exterior is a fine black wool that is cut with a series of triangular panels that run from neck to hem, widening as the near the hem. Within each of the panels the fabric has been elaborately cut in a swirling, glorious design and then the edges are finished. The thing that is quite amazing is that this is all one panel of fabric!! The work to plan and complete this is mind boggling! The interior is lined with black silk that is starting to go in some areas (see below). I would be tempted to remove it completely or have it relined in a second colored silk so you can really see that amazing design! A really special piece that is shockingly wearable despite the fact that it is well over 100 years old! Amazing!
Shoulders: no defined seam but they are approx 14-15" across inside.
Total length: 23.5" from mid back of neck to bottom hem
The cape is fully lined in a fine black silk. A repair has been made along the back neckline and there is some shattering near the hook and eye at the front. It is still sound and wearable as is and since I believe it is the original lining I chose to leave it as is and priced it accordingly. Hand set lining. It closes with a series of metal hook & eye down the front. It is a true deep black - some photos were lightened to show detail.
Modern Sizing Note: It is not the body on this piece but the shoulders - you do not want to be much past 15" flat across or it will not sit right

Amazing, striped sequined original seventies tube top! I have a small batch of these that all came out of the same estate and the woman apparently was a dancing fiend in her youth and collected these extensively. Each, including this one looks to be brand new so it is like have a little disco time capsule in your hands!! This one is made up of brilliant purple sequins on a purple knit and elastic base! Three fabulous rows of pink sequins can be worn top up or at the bottom! Excellent condition.
