Rare and iconic this sweater is from the infamous range where safety pins where used to hold together re-assembled pieces. When discussing this piece with Jane and Judy, they commented that this collection was really their favorite by far and that the felt fortunate to have had pieces from it! A gold lurex knit mixes with a ribbed knit that deliberately changes and fades in color within each stripe. The sweater has been taken apart in places and then these pieces re-attached with brass safety pins. An iconic piece straight from the closets of an iconic pair!

Incredible suede jacket by Giorgio Sant'Angelo that is remarkably like the leather version on in the 1979 photo that we sourced. The suede is butter soft and pliant and acts more like a fabric then a heavy suede since it is so light and of such high quality. Onto this are applied leather and metallic patches that curve and swirl over the surface of the jacket. It is cut in a long, lean line and has button set just on the waist so the front looks sleek and simple.  I love the combination of swirls juxtaposed with the angular parts of the design. The color combination is sublime and it is cut to perfection. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in brown silky rayon, it closes with buttons set so they are not seen when closed. There is the teeniest bit of light marks on the lining here and there but these are very minor

If this does not scream the best of what the eighties was I do not know what could otherwise! Judy, Jane and I all agree - you cannot wear this jacket and not feel somewhat magical! It is an explosion of color - the exterior is huge gold metallic thread edged flowers and little gold metallic stars are hand applied around the collar and cuffs of the sleeves. Its is that typical wide and loose shape from the eighties - meant to be paired with a fitted piece underneath so the contrast is stark. The interior fabric is black and gold stripes, metallic and slightly puffed. It is amazing and in excellent condition

Miuccia Prada said of this collection that "The only thing I could think of was to work on color and materials... Something simple but strange." That certainly was the case with the introduction of her innovative use of mohair to make it appear as if it was fur. This piece has the feel of a fur vest tossed over one's favorite sweater but it is in fact all one piece. Judy feels this was one of the best collections ever from Prada and whether you are a fan of this extraordinary fabrication technique or not - this collection will surely be noted as an important piece of fashion history! An amazing, over the top full on glitz and glamour jacket by Oscar De La Renta. The body of the jacket is a inky black velvet - so rich and luxurious looking and feeling. It has the most amazing heavily done, slightly 3D cord embroidery that has been said to have been done by Lesage. The peplum is exaggerated to the extreme so when buttoned it really stands out - more so then how it has been captured in the photos - there is actually a light stiffening material in it to keep the shape! Each cuff picks up that same embroidery and around the collar and down the front is also heavily embroidered! It really has a rich, Spanish feel to it and the embroidery is placed to perfectly nip in and create an hour glass feel. The Shoulders have padding which helps to further exaggerate the shape. Yellow sequins are hand set through the cording.† It just goes to show how good an eye Jane and Judy have when they send a piece like this! Stunning and in excellent condition.

This is also a piece from Jane and Judy and is absolutely adorable! I had a tough time not keeping it myself! Made of butter soft pink leather it is a little pouch all topped stitch with black. The interior is lined in black satin and I am certain you can detach the tassel (it has a lobster claw clasp to make it easy to do just that) and flip it inside out. It has a definite flapper feel to it and is just adorable. If you are a Chanel fan you probably fainted a little - as well you should - it is really fantastic!

An absolute darling Christian Dior hat that is just a little work of art. Pink netting is overlaid with pink machine thread lace. Over that was hand applied beading, rhinestones and baubles so there is a sense of movement and a bit of sound when it moves! Its amazing! I love the little puffed top detail - its like he took a french beret and coutured it up! Excellent condition!

An amazing silk twill scarf weight top from the great Pierre Cardin in a sixties swoon inducing pop art dot print. Cut almost tunic style, the top goes out from the shoulders and has notched sides so that line is not broken should you choose to wear it over something else and untucked. Each sleeve has a 3" cuff and is set so it closes French cuff style. The sleeve above each cuff billows out slightly too! I love love love the collar - that long front piece actually loops through the back collar so you get that scarf effect - you can wrap it around the neck more or tie a half bow - it can be worn a dozen different ways. The silk is a superb quality and weight and it is in mint condition. Love it!

This is a very very rare and unusual Courreges Paris piece. It is a simple deep blue halter top done in a thicker poly nylon knit jersey. To this is applied a tightly overlapped sequin design that runs over each shoulder strap and around the top of the bodice. Little rays of sequins dance off the top edge. The bottom is gathered with a bit of elastic and a decoration only, sequin encrusted bow sits prettily at the front waist. Great piece to work in with your more modern separates! Mint condition and a very rare, show stopping piece!

I lvoe Zandra Rhodes and this is a fab early eighties piece that is hand painted with gold stars and pink detailing. The shoulders are high and capped and the waist nips in before that exaggerated peplummed hip takes over! I love the bow trompe l'oeil effect at the neckline and the there is a pretty rhinestone detailing across the front. It is in excellent condition and would have been entirely hand made at this time of the label's history - as proudly stated on the label. It is dramatic and highly wearable too!

I love this little purple print semi-sheer poly organza top from Ben Sherman. This is an early piece from the label and these are hard to find. This one has a fab pop art print that you cannot help but smile to see. It also has amazing cuff sleeves that it above a French cuff. The collar is a modified dog ear shape and I love the three cluster buttons set down the front. An interesting detail - only the center button actually is usable - the ones above and below are decoration only. Mint condition!

I think this is the best Fedora I have ever seen! It is Yves Saint Laurent and has a small, neat brim. It is made of a wool and perhaps mohair mix - that combined with the bold and dramatic plaid make for a delicious mix of textures. I love love love the chain detail the encircles the hat. Signature Blue ribbon inside. Trust me - you will wear this one to death! Excellent condition!

Insanely fabulous, cropped lame thread sweater in a fantastic combination of pink, silver and charcoal grey! This was the silhouette of the seventies and this topping a maxi or midi skirt, or a wide legged trouser was all the rage! In incredible condition it has a ribbed skinny fit waist, with that same ribbing at the collar and each cuff of the elbow length, puffed sleeve. Each sleeve has pink striping worked into it! Its the perfect pairing of cool and seventies chic. Excellent condition!

Moschino pieces are always slightly insane in the way that only they can be and this jacket from the late 80s, early 90s is no exception. It is a motorcycle style and the cut looks like a jacket you would borrow (and then steal) from your boyfriend! It has a large zipper set off side down the front and color blocked pockets and collar - even the insides of the pockets are done in color! The back of the jacket is of course where all the detail is - a huge embellished Royal crest is embroidered and inscribed Principe Azzuro - or Prince Charming. It is the perfect topper for the boy look trend that is all the rage. Butter soft leather and in excellent condition!

Stunning and unusual Dior platter hat that is a really amazing color of burnt orange. A christian Dior Original Hat it is probably late 50s, early 60s. The fabric used is a mohair felt and has an almost "fur" feel to it. It is meant to sit on top of the head and then slant down. Hand stitched inside where it is gathered under the top button. Two matching, original hat pins come with it! Excellent condition!

A stunning Miss Dior pill box still feels fresh and modern because of that bright color! A deep azure blue has an almost "fur" like feel with the fine, soft is a mohair felt fabric used to construct it, The perfect pillbox it has a faux wrap effect and pretty plastic bead work where the pint overlaps! Excellent condition!

Amazing arts and crafts Edwardian hat. It is extra special because it appears completely unworn so is the equivalent of having come through a time machine!† It is stunning. Hand stitched with a wire rim and lots of detail work. The pattern is stitched on by hand with yarn and silk ribbon. The base is very unusual and I believe it to be a raffia and silk mix!The colors are dreamy and romantic. Underneath the brim is lined in a ribbed silk grosgrain fabric and the interior has striped silk. The maker - Curtis New York - is embroidered into the interior crown! Excellent condition!

This is an amazing mint condition Azzedine Alaia belt in a rare baby pink. Silver hardware and silver studs that hold the little cut out flower applique's in place! I love the mix of pink and white. So many Alaia piece are black or white - it is rare and wonderful to find a pretty pink piece. If you are a collector you probably just caught your breathe! Looks to be unworn condition. Item# A119

Rare rare rare printed leopard print, pony fur corset belt by Rifat Ozbek. The original Ozbek label was only produced from 1984 to 1991 and pieces are rare and hard to find.† He often used touches of exoticism against black sleek pieces and this belt is a fantastic example of his work. It zips to close and is 28" from end to end unzipped. It is 7" at the widest points and tapers to an 3.5" at the skinniest points. Signature zipper pull.

Insanely gorgeous and rare loose, draped pant with a tight cuff by Gianni Versace! They are constructed from a very light, baby soft knit that is shot through with gold metallic thread every 1/4 inch and then a brilliant, electric blue metallic thread breaks that every inch and a half. The lower part of the leg is very skinny and fitted which allows you to be able to wear them up around the calf, or down and to the ankle. Where you wear the bottom part will create more or less of a balloon effect. Excellent condition

An amazing testament to construction and pure joy of form, this extravagant full length skirt by Yves Saint Laurent is perfection. It is made of two layers of rich silk taffeta topped by a wide band of black velvet. The velvet at the top acts to make the waist virtually disappear and the illusion of a nipped in waist as contrasted by the volume o the skirt is superb. A signature gold cording accents the point where the velvet meets the silk and the bottom edging of the hem is also ringed with gold cord. The stying possibilities are endless with this piece! Crazy collectible, hard to find Alaia 1980s hot pants! You just know girls like Naomi Campbell wore these and killed it! They are made from a bandage like, thick, stretch fabric and you just step into them and wiggle till they are on! They end up fitting skin tight so it is almost a bit of Azzedine tongue in cheek wit that they have functional front and back pockets. You would be able to see if a girl had a quarter in any pocket while wearing these. Insanely sexy and iconic. Great condition

There is nothing in this world to make an outfit get an instant dose of glamour then a fantastic vintage coat and this 1960s one is spectacular. It will add an instant touch of vibrant, bright color to any outfit with its amazing multi color metallic brocade. The cut is a simple A-line with sleek and simple sleeves and a double row of metal buttons down the front. Low slung front pockets are hidden along the seams. The interior is lined in silk which feels like a dream to wear. It is a piece that was made in Hong Kong in the 1960s when some of the best brocade work was being done on the planet for a division of the Malcolm Starr company and it has that fantastic Malcolm Starr vibe. It is bright and bold and wonderful! Excellent condition!

The coat is fully lined in a black tissue silk and it closes with the metal buttons. Two of the buttons caps have fallen off at some point - personally I would pry the others off as they are great looking without the black caps but I have adjusted the price a bit because of this. It is fairly light weight and not unwieldy to wear. The threads in this type of fabric tend to pop out here and there - I have removed most and will go over it again but it will happen - it can't be helped with this fabric and should not be considered a flaw but a natural component of the aging of the fabric.

A quintessential and classic Comme de Garcons black matte silk satin skirt with a deliberate nod to a deconstructed feel and innovation mixing of textures. It is cut with a flat front panel that has a second piece seamed with a curved bias seam to give it fullness. To these is added a knife pleat panel that is cut longer at the back and wraps around the sides. I just love how it looks right and yet wrong at the same time. and is still wearable. Gorgeous, light as air silk organza is used to make this quirky and unusual skirt. The skirt is cut on a sharp Aline with an unusual double slit along the hem. The slits are also cut almost triangular so that they are open like little slices taken out of the bottom. The hem is asymmetrical. To the entire surface are hand applied, hand cut stylized flowers - stitch to the skirt at the base of each petal so that the petals form a fantastic feathered feel. The entire skirt weighs mere ounces and is very avant garde! Excellent condition.
