Gorgeous little black and bronze clutch that has been completely beaded with tube beads! Shaped with rounded corners and a scalloped top, the beads are set with a nod to Art Deco. Tube beads are set in curved rows with golden hued seed beads set between the bronze and black design to give a bit of contrast. It has a nice weight to it and is lined in black silk. This is a rare example of a Borsalino Roll up hat in a deep navy felt. What is remarkable about this one is that it is in as new condition - in fact it still retains it's original sticker inside! Established in 1857, Guiseppe Borsalino was the first artisan workshop for the production of felt hats in the world. These where the epitome of chic and where a departure form the structured hats of the day. I have included a snapshot of the hats being made from a previously unpublished and restored version of a documentary film "Borsalino Industrial Company" in 1912 made by Luca Comerio. The brim can be rolled or flipped and the felt is as plush and soft and true of color as the day it was made. The box shows normal patina only and is also sound and clean.

An amazing brilliantly patterned bomber jacket by the great Yohji Yamamoto! This look marries tough with brightness all within the classic constraint of the bomber jacket. The exterior is a stunning custom printed silk with an almost tropical feel. The sleeves taper into ribbed knit cuffs that mirror the finish on the waist and collar. It closes with big, customs chunky grey toned zipper. I love it! In excellent, appears unworn condition

A spectacular 1950s hand painted Mexican circle skirt with a Tel-Art label. I love the retro label, don't you? It is on a hand dyed red cotton base and then a fantastic design of graduated shades of black circles the skirt. Near the hem a large, wide panel of design is highlighted with hand painted gold detailing. It is entirely hand painted through out and the colors are still vibrant and true. There is a ton of fabric in there - this is a true full circle skirt. A very unusual piece and highly collectible too - these truly are works of art and I have never seen one like this before. This is probably the best circle skirt I have ever had on the site. It is everything you look for in a circle skirt - Cotton quilted and backed with light padding to you get lots of texture. The print is amazing - different size and varieties of fish swim about its surface in a beautiful array of colors! There is an amazing amount of fabric - if laid out flat on the ground it creates a true fully complete and round circle! It even has a pocket! Amazing and in excellent condition

Wonderful vintage lingerie piece that you could even wear as a pretty day dress if you add a slip underneath! Made of gorgeous silky pink rayon with a romantic and feminine print of scattered bouquets. I love the lace insets at the waist and the top of the bodice. The skirt flares out and is cut on the bias so it drapes perfectly into place when one. Each cup of the bodice is slightly gathered at the top and bottom and the double strap shoulder is fantastic! An amazing early 1940s silk moss crepe top in basic black that has the most amazing sequin detailing! Sequins loop and twist over each shoulder with black silk net that allows for a peek of skin in between the design. The peplum at the waist appears to wrap over and be caught up in a wonderful tightly spaced cluster of the same sequins. The back is really exceptional - it has a marvelous pleated and curved panel of fabric that trails down the lower back. All hand applied sequins. Stunning and in excellent condition! Item# S347

The fabric used for the exterior of this stunning, one of a kind evening clutch was taken from an antique high end silk kimono. The kimono was a stunning example of hand embroidery work and I had it in my personal archives for years. The central medallion of flowers that adorned the back panel of the robe was used for one side of the bag. The other side of the clutch is taken from the hand dyed silk panel that made up the inside hem of the original piece. Onto that side, beautiful hand made silk ribbon was removed from the kimono's interior edge and re-sewn by Marketa, by hand onto the bag. Inside the hand-embroidered banding that circled each cuff has been transformed into stunning pockets.

There was only enough salvageable fabric from the original antique garment to make this one, single clutch. It is truly a one of a kind and a very special piece! Each bag is made entirely by hand through the collaborative efforts of Shrimpton & Marketa

We made this clutch for those days when you need a little glitz and glam to offset your little black dress! The fabric used for this killer clutch was taken from 1960s maxi dress. Gold threads are offset by a black and cream braided pattern. Notice the care and time that Marketa has taken to meticulously line up each grid along the seams of the bag. Even glitzier in person then how the camera captured it here, it is a stunning textile and has been transformed into this striking bag!

There was enough salvageable fabric from the original vintage garment to produce two, one of a kind clutches, one of which is now sold. Grab the last one while you can! Each bag is made entirely by hand through the collaborative efforts of Shrimpton & Marketa
