What an amazing piece! Adrian Originals are not common to find and this is a quirky and wonderful example of his work. Made of a finely ribbed crepe, the jacket is cut boxy and has a nod to a western feel to it in the way the back seaming has been done and then that quirky Adrian touch in those amazing pockets set at the front. The lower two are flapped hip pockets but the ones above are just wonderful - 4 little rounded top set pockets all on an angle. Love it! Closes with fabric covered buttons and has seaming at each elbow. Rare larger size too! Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a silk crepe and closes with the buttons at the front. The buttonholes are properly finished. All four rounded pockets are real the two flap ones are decorative. Hand finished.

The cut of this jacket is amazing and it looks brand new. The collar is formed right out of the jacket and it creates this soft shape that frames your face. It drapes its way down the front and creates that interesting shape and slightly asymmetrical feel that her pieces are known for. The waist is nipped in and ties and the fabric underneath exaggerated for that fullness through the hip that gives her pieces that saucy, sexy feel.The best part? Fantastic and very rare Galanos jacket in an outstanding white tipped fox mixed with suede insets. The fur is thick and supple and it was definitely stored properly and cared for and appears to have been worn very little if at all. In fact, it feels like it has stepped out of a time capsule. It is cut in that fabulous over the top sixties style with a simple box cut and huge collar. Suede insets run down the inside of each sleeve and down the sides of the jacket. No thinning, issues or shedding. This is a rare and wonderful vintage fur from an important couturier. The equivalent coat purchased now would cost tens of thousands of dollars! This is an early piece based on the label and Bullocks label which has it apostrophe, a detail that was dropped from their label in 1970. However, to give you an idea of relative cost - later in the mid-eighties Galanos designed a fur collection for 5 years for furrier Peter Dion. In a 1987 New York Times article a short Lynx coat was quoted as being priced at $200,000 and the longer version at $300,000. in a 1986 article, a price range was again given with short beaver jackets starting at $15,000. One can only imagine the cost of this piece today based on adjusted values if you were to buy new!  Excellent condition. Really a once in a lifetime piece.

Fully lined in a off white silk. Closes with a fur hook at the front. A pocket is created behind the front panel - it is actually open all down its edge and the suede extends under it - the resulting space creates a sort of pocket on each side - really amazing design. It has been specialty cleaned. Perhaps the teeniest of wear near the sleeve ends but nothing that mars or detracts.

What an extraordinary and beautiful white mink evening jacket! It is easy to see the level of quality in this piece - the fur is extremely supple and soft. The jacket is pieced together in vertical stripes set extremely close together and matched perfectly for pile and color and so well done that you cant even see the edges at first glance. It has wide bands following the edge of the jacket's cut. I love how thoroughly modern it feels - some of these vintage jackets feel very dated and they are heavy - this one is light and almost fluid. The cut is wonderful - it is cropped and the sleeves come out from just above the waist so they are very wide and full. Really an extraordinary design. Perfect for over jeans or the dressiest occasion. In extraordinary condition - it has been stored properly and it shows!

Fully lined and has one fur hook to close at the front. There is a touch of yellowing to the lining but otherwise the jacket feels new.It was obviously properly stored. Gerry Trulaske is embroidered on the lining - she was a socialite and philanthropist in St Louis.

Showstopping and highly collectible, this 1920s real metallic gold thread lame shawl is a masterpiece and really a work of art. The entire surface has a beautiful floral print woven directly into the fabric and I love that the blossoms range dramatically in size. Very unusual and stunning in person. Marvel at the close up shots and know that it is still 100% better in person! The fluidity of the fabric cannot be conveyed and it has a rich, luxurious feel to it. The lame is strong and wearable and is a very high end. Excellent, museum quality and rare.

This was lovingly stored properly and looks almost new despite being almost 100 years old. There are a couple small areas of light tarnish to the thread here and there but this is natural patina and only adds to the beauty of this fabric. There is a well done repair that is about 6" down off one edge. I only noticed it when I laid it out flat - you would never notice it otherwise as it was properly done.Priced accordingly

This is perhaps the perfect knit cape! It is by Valentino so that is already one strong reason for perfection status and then the rest is due to the perfect cut and drape of the knit. It is just heavy enough to be able to hold the shape and drape perfectly but otherwise lightweight and since it is a soft wool knit it is the perfect warmth for cool evenings. It ties at the neck, slightly off side and the front and back are dipped slightly longer. Really fantastic and versatile piece that can be worn for evening or day. Excellent, appears unworn condition

This is a Michiyukie, whoch was worn over a kimono for warmth and protection of the kimono underneath. Michi means "street" and "yuki" refers to "going outside". It is a stunning and early piece made of a silk that has a raised leaf design woven directly into it! The color is an amazing pale terracotta shade. The inside is lined in that perfect 1930s lingerie weight pale lemon colored silk! It snaps to close with hidden snaps so that it creates a low, square neckline and I love the extra bit of pleat detail at the front. It also has its "secret pocket" beneath the front panel on the right. You can completely close it so that you are able to wear it as a dress or fully closed light evening coat. You can leave it loose or belt it. This one is extra special as it has its original store tag from Takashimaya, Osaka that was founded in 1829! It may be earlier then the 30s. Excellent condition 

Fully lined in a pale lemon silk and has hidden snaps to close as well as ties inside. It is in excellent shape on the exterior. The interior shows minor foxing and just the very beginning of shattering near the neckline bit is strong and stable now. I do not feel like these distract. Please do remember these were worn and loved so have a natural patina and should not be expected to be perfect! It is after all almost 100 years old!

This is a classic Yves Saint Laurent piece that will never go out of style! I love the chic  car coat feel of it and its easy shape and classic camel color that is a lighter shade so feels softer then say that trench coat camel. Its cut with a nod to luxury and ease with a man's suiting type collar and a forties feel to the wide cut, cuffed sleeves and body. There are no closures - it's meant to be worn casually sling over something else. A wonderful Pauline Trigere jacket with that classic boxed and cropped shape that was so prevalent in the late fifties and early 60s. It is very well made, with the entire lining hand set into place. Inside, you can see the perfect tiny hand stitches that secure the lining of the sleeves into place. The exterior is equally as smart. The front is very simple with the detailing left to those huge buttons on the  front of the waist. The sleeves are also kept simple. The back is a bit of a surprise when you realize that the vertical lines are all actually wide pleat panels of fabric so when the wearer moves you get a very interesting visual effect. Love the nod to sportswear with the seaming across the shoulders. Excellent condiiton

Love this beautiful cream silk blouse from the great Yves Saint Laurent. It is really quite fabulous and a little more elaborate the most of the pieces from this era. It has an almost swashbuckling feel to it with its ruffles front and sleeves that are caught up in elastics and ruffles at each elbow and wrist. It has that classic YSL tie at the neck. The sleeves puff out above the elbows and cuffs and as it nears the waist it widens and is finished there with a ruffle detailing as well. I love the dot print worked into the silk itself and it is a gorgeous light weight, fine grade silk. Excellent condition!

One of the stars of that runway show, this top is still as fabulous and forward feeling now as when it debuted on the runway. It is made of a screened silk chiffon and lined in a nude silk net. Raw edged net detail the seams on the shoulders, sides and front. Grommets run down the front and raw edged ties lace both the front and the back into place - hidden under the fabric of the back is a cross tied corset inset! The sleeves are wide and each finished with grommets and lacing. This was Tom's play on the iconic YSL safari designs and is so sexy! love how the ties will trail almost to the floor if you wish them to. Excellent, appears unworn condition

An amazing top by Yves Saint Laurent that is the RTW version of the ones shown in his haute couture Russian collection. Made of a cream, raw silk, the top is absolutely wonderful in person! Each sleeve is cut very wide from the body of the top and each has small pleats set on the top of the shoulder. The sleeves each end in elastic - this creates tremendous volume and a great puffed shape. The body of the top is cut loose and easy, peasant style, with a simple button at the neck. Once on and tucked in this again gives volume if you wish. An iconic piece and in a hard to find color and size. Excellent condition

This is one of those hats that you literally throw on and then play with the shape. It is made of a felted wool, soft velvet feel fabric with a fringed edging. Inside the band is a panel of off-white fringe that is perfectly aligned with the top layer. This give the brim a bit of drama and you can flip it and have it sit to show as much or little of that underside color as you wish. A huge brass safety pin and ribbon shaped felt adorn one side. Excellent, appears unworn condition

This hat is sublime. Truly. It looks absolutely brand new and was stored properly so shows not a hint of wear. The fabric is like a soft felted velvet wool - it is remarkable! The brim is small and chic with a bit of a mannish feel and the crown is cut slightly high. It has just a hint of a dip on its crown that you can deepen if you wish to give it a more fedora feel, A wide silk satin band that is just over 2" high finishes it perfectly and the subtle flat bow that adorns one side just makes it even better! Excellent, appears never worn condition.

Grosgrain band and has two tags - Adolfo Realities and a Bonwit Teller.

This is so smart and chic! It is a little red trench made of a spring weight fabric. It is so pristine that I doubt it was ever worn at all and only has been cleaned once when I acquired it to freshen it up. It's like it walked out of a time capsule straight from its original store rack to here! I love the classic Courreges touches - the little round collar, soft pleats above each snapped cuff and of course rounded pockets rather then the normal square cornered ones! It snaps down the front with fabulous little silver topped snaps. These also adorn each pocket, the cuffs and the loops that the belt slides through. The belt allows you to cinch it tight. The color as shown is a pretty good representation and flattering on most skin tones. I especially love the little snap detail over each side slit. Excellent, appears unworn condition

A wonderful early Chinchilla cape that feel like it just stepped out of a time machine! There is no sign of drying at all and the fur looks like it has never been worn. Remarkably soft and light it is a very glamorous and luxurious piece! Excellent condition

Fully lined in a grey silver silk. One fur hook at the neck to close. No signs of wear to the fur at all. Hand finished inside and monogrammed "Stella Sharp" (which in our opinion is a pretty kick ass name). Note the photos have a touch of a sepia tone to them - in person it is a mix of pale to deep greys.

Love this graphic feeling little jacket with its mix of natural jasmine mink and leather. It has that classic belted cut with a big collar and sleek lines. The belt is wide and has a slip buckle so you can cinch as far as you wish to add shape. It's a cool mix of black, steel grey and the natural white of the fur. Love the contrast this all creates and the great shape once on. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a black silky rayon that is in excellent condition. One fur hook at the base of the collar on the front. It wraps and closes with the slide belt. The belt buckle shows the very slightest of wear but it otherwise looks unworn. Hidden pickets on each hip and one along the seam of the interior. Monogrammed with initials HCH.

Dramatic only begins to cover how to describe this killer winter white cape! It is cut with strong powerful lines that are further emphasized by that over the top fur detailing that gives the shoulders a high couture, runway feel.The cape itself is cut long and lean so that the height created by the wild shoulders is made even more so! Luxurious fox rings the neck and shoulders. ove it! Excellent condition

Buttons at the neck. The fur collar snaps off so that it can be cleaned separate. Fully lined in a cream silk satin. One tiny nick on the fabric on one side that does not detract. Slits for your arms and small hidden pockets tucked in along the inside edge of those.Padding int he shoulders.
