There is nothing quite as sexy as a ruffled front halter that leaves the back bare. Add to that the sleekness of black and make it a designer piece and you have an instant knock-out! Everything on this one works perfectly together. Constructed from a textured black almost linen look base the contrasting silk organza ruffled neck with its flat piped edges are perfect together. The actual cut of this dress is actually quite simple - the sleeveless, deep V fronted halterneck bodice skims over the bust and then nips in at the waist. The full length skirt flares out into the perfect cut A-line. But turn around and the back has been scooped out entirely. Two layers of black silk organza form the ruffles around the neck and they go all the way up and around the wearers neck. It's a stunner and in excellent condition!

This is a gorgeous Malcolm Starr with a spectacular print in bright blues and greens on a crisp cotton backdrop. A simple cut, sleeveless bodice has a scooped neck and a V shaped back. The waist nips in and has a spectacular band of clear beads and rhinestone heavily adorning the entire 3.5" banding that circles the waist. The skirt is quite full and the perfect balance tot he fitted top and cinched waist! This cut is very flattering and I love the crispness of the cotton against the pop of the bead work. Excellent condition and a perfect, chic summer dress. Item# DD842

Bust: 20" from side seam to side seam
Waist: open

Length: 58" from mid neck at the back to bottom hem
Sleeves: 19" from shoulder seam to longest point
The dress is fully lined in a pale pink silky rayon and closes with a front, hidden painted metal zipper that goes to just below the waist. Note the camera is pulling a yellow tone in some pictures whereas in real life it is a mix of oranges and pinks. The shoulders have to fit but other wise it will drape well on a smaller figure as well as work on one that fits the measurements. It is not pinned on my size 4-6 mannequin

This is an absolutely amazing Bessi dress and one of the best that I have had or seen! The print is spectacular - you can easily see her days at Pucci strongly influencing the design. The colors are sublime - a deep golden yellow, light olive, pops of purples and pinks all mixed together masterfully. I love the strong use of a contrasting border that defines and anchors the cut of the dress and the silk is a fantastic silk twill - Hermes scarf like in weight and feel. The bottom has a full panel added that is edged with a band of color that matches that edging on the rest of the skirt and the waist. The simple sleeveless bodice perfectly balances the skirt. This is truly a fabulous gown and in excellent condition! Item# DD875
Super rare and super fabulous butterfly print top from the iconic Biba label. The prints used, like this one, that have a strong art deco reference are the most desirable and to pair that with a charming butterfly design and fabulous color palette is just a wonderful thing! I love the styling of this one - it has fabulous balloon sleeves with Biba's trademark high shoulder and skinny upper arm. The collar is pointed and the front can be left unbuttoned fairly low if you wish. A suggestion of a peplum hip and a fine cotton mix voile fabric all add up to an extraordinary piece! Excellent condition!
A rare and early Bill Blass for Bond Street little mod coat is one of the best Blass pieces and one of the best coats I have ever had. Everything about it is perfect - the shape, the colors, the cut all done to perfection. The exterior is a almost canvas like fabric that has been screened with a myriad of pales pastels yellows and oinks. Great mod swirls of color adorn every inch. The collar is big and notched, the sleeves sit just above the wrist and the length is the perfect length to have gone with the mini skirts of those days. It wraps and ties with an attached fabric belt and once you do that the bottom skirting flares out in the sexiest, make your legs look miles long, kind of way. Impeccable condition and a wonderful collectible.

Gorgeous little black and bronze clutch that has been completely beaded with tube beads! Shaped with rounded corners and a scalloped top, the beads are set with a nod to Art Deco. Tube beads are set in curved rows with golden hued seed beads set between the bronze and black design to give a bit of contrast. It has a nice weight to it and is lined in black silk. No missing beads and in excellent condition inside and out. Item# B101

Sometimes that little black dress that you can pop on and it is the perfect marriage of ease, sophistication and yet still have that pow factor is a hard thing to find. This wonderful piece from Malcolm Starr just might be a contender. Off the body it seems rather plain but once on it has a way of draping and sitting that is infinitely flattering. A very simple cut - it is basically a chic sheath with a waist that is barely defined, it skims the body almost flapper style and the crepe gives it a good weight so it seems to settle where it is meant to do the most good. The bodice has a flattering V neck and the skirt cut long and lean. Over the entire dress is a wonderful "fireworks" type design with each burst of beads defined by a 3D raised circle of glossy black tube beading all swirled around each other. The waist, neck and arms are defined with a tight band of beading. Very pretty piece and in great condition.
An adorable original day dress from the 1960s made of a bright cheerful screened cotton voile. I love the plaid effect but how it has been done in an unusual and brighter colored version. Pink and red checks are crossed with yellow striping. Onto this are bold diamonds of an olive green. The top portion is simple and sweet with a super collar. The skirt is full but lies quite flat due to the flat box pleating used. This gives it volume when you move but a sleek silhouette when you are at rest. It has it;s original belt too! Gorgeous and in excellent condition.

Fully lined through the bodice in a burgundy silky rayon and through the skirt with a linen look mix fabric in pale pink. It closes at the back with a painted metal zipper. There are a few tiny pills to the crepe - a natural occurrence with this fabric. A tiny row of indents about 1" run on the front velvet where the rhinestones pressed into the fabric from storage prior to my acquisition. It lessened with cleaning and I am fairly confident that it would disappear after a second. The pink is paler in the skirt and the bodie richer in color than what has photoed.

An amazing and quite rare set from Bonnie Cashin is just heavenly! The jacket alone is worth the investment and to have a matching skirt is almost unheard of! A lovely green in cross checked with a white that is worked directly into the wool. Its a mid weight so not as fine as a suiting would be but not heavy and bulky either. The skirt wraps to close and is a take off of a classic kilt - except done in that fantastic green and edged in leather! The coat is all Cashin with a wide, swing silhouette and hige leather trimmed top set pockets. Love this set and love the white leather trim Really fabulous and in excellent condition!
This is a striking print dress in a bright clear coral with a stunning print that covers its surface from shoulder to hem. The print is scenic and done in a combination of black and white outlined in a turquoise blue - all of which pops brilliantly off the coral. It is made of a washable jersey and has a cheongsam inspired cut and line. The neckline is cut high with an interesting layered fabric collar and the sleeves are long and slim. It curves over the body and expands gently out to widen as it nears the hem. It has the classic side slit of the westernized cheongsam that is cut quite high up the leg. A tightly spaced row of decorative buttons sits just above that slit and follow the side seam to just a few inches under the arm. It is a statement maker, well made and quite wonderful. Excellent condition.

I am having a little hippie chic bohemian moment so forgive me the indulgence of sharing it with you. There is just something about these late 60s, early 70s hand made, soft as butter leathers that just feel right at the moment. This is a unusual and I think quite rare piece that would have been hand made in Mexico for the Michael Novarese label. One normally thinks of Novarese and pictures beaded gowns so to see this little bohemian hippie piece is really something. Some of the best leather craftsman in the world were being made in Mexico at the time and the piece made are fantastic. The jacket is all hand whip-stitched and made form that butter soft deerskin. Just look at those amazing details and pockets! Unusual and fantastic and in excellent condition.
This dress is quite fabulous with it's huge butterfly print that is screened onto it form top to bottom and done in stunning shades of blue and green with pops of tangerine. The La Mendola label is highly collectible and sought after - when the duo behind the label where designing in Rome it was girls like Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth that were buying! The Italian shop closed in 1974 but they continued to supply American Shops like Bergdorf's and Montaldos. with special orders like this for a couple more years. This might even be one of the last gowns made! The base of the dress is made of a stretch jersey cut long and lean with silk chiffon sleeves and a wide silk chiffon sash that you can use it as a belt or a head scarf. The neck is high and I love that you can wear it as one sleek column or add shape with the silk tie belt. The colors are amazing and it emanates joy with that fantastic print! It's an amazing piece and in excellent condition.

Fantastic hippie chic quilted cotton jacket has the most amazing cherry trimmed accents! The perfect throw on and add an instant chic bit of arts & crafts hand made feel to any outfit. The body is quilted and a solid ed and then it has that fantastic contrasting print down the front. The cherry adorned fabric circles each wrist and also goes across the back. It closes with those fantastic bamboo looking toggles! Excellent condition!
This little Beene dress is a classic. I love it's proper little lines and combined with Beene's fabulous tailoring its a real stand out. Made of a striped grey wool that at first glance appears to be very simply cut but upon closer inspection you realize that all the shape through the body is created by cleverly placed, curved vertical seaming. Little pockets are hidden along the seam and it zips at the front with a concealed zipper that runs up that front middle seam. The collars and cuffs are a matte cream silk satin and give wonderful contrast. A big bow sits at the neck and the stark black of it offers the perfect contrast to the other elements. Fabulous day pieces are sometimes the hardest to find when you look to vintage but this one is wonderful! Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a black silky rayon and closes with a hidden set zipper at the front neck. Two front pockets and a decorative button on each cuff. The bow at the neck snaps into place can can be removed altogether with the snaps hidden under the collar when removed.

An absolute darling Christian Dior hat that is just a little work of art. Pink netting is overlaid with pink machine thread lace. Over that was hand applied beading, rhinestones and baubles so there is a sense of movement and a bit of sound when it moves! Its amazing! I love the little puffed top detail - its like he took a french beret and coutured it up! Excellent condition!
A Dior suit from the sixties is a marvelous thing to have and this one is just that and it sort of seems to symbolize the lady who wore Dior but wanted to feel up to the minute with a nod to the mod movement that was happening at the time. The size is fabulous - its a little larger and the shift dress underneath will work on a lot of different figure types. The fabric has a screened check worked into the silk - its actually smooth with no real texture so is an interesting play on itself. The dress is cut as simple as can be - it s simple shift. but with a little bit of extra seaming to ensure it fits just so. The jacket is a marvel - I love love love the extra panel of fabric that goes across the front edging and buttons on the other side. Its prim, its proper and its utterly fabulous.! A wonderful and rare set in excellent, seemingly unworn condition!
Absolutely gorgeous Pucci dress with a superb fall hued color palette! Made of his signature lightweight silk jersey that was then custom screened with his infamous designs. Skinny sleeves and a fitted bodice top a swingy skirt, This is a classic Pucci silhouette and is instantly recognizable! I love the band at the waist that gives it a bit of visual definition but still keeps the easy to wear cut. The yellows and tangerines pop against each other and are anchored by the black in the print. The entire dress weighs ounces and is wonderfully bright and happy in feel as all great Pucci's are! Excellent condition.

I love this stunning little top and skirt set from the legendary Emilio Pucci mainly because of the color but also because it is just so chic and versatile. Both pieces are simple in cut, but big on drama and are covered with a gorgeous and classic Pucci print. The colors are as brilliant as the day this was made and that glorious print makes it instantly recognizable as a Pucci piece. The print is a mix of a vivid coral with a taupe and off white and all parts of the patters are edged in a fine black outlined. The fabric is also signed throughout with that famous Pucci signature. The skirt is is a soft A-line to just above the knee while the top is a simple cut with sleek sleeves and a rounded neckline. His signature border circles the neck, cuffs and hems. Being two pieces rather then a dress makes really easy to mix and match and work into your wardrobe for all four seasons. Excellent condition.
The top is unlined and closes with a back, handset zipper. The skirt is also unlined and slips on with elastic at the waist.

Maggy Reeves was a couture designer in Canada and her pieces are as rare as rare can be. It is a delight and privilege to be able to pass on a piece of her work! This dress is extraordinarily beautiful, It is constructed entirely of silk - the bodice is a soft slinky, high grade silk and the skirt is a heavy weight luxurious silk satin. The bodice has an almost dolman sleeve and is cut fairly simple with a dramatically scooped and plunged neckline. It is all hand finished and there is a weight attached tot he inside of the front scoop so that it sits perfectly in place when on. This top inserts into a high, sculpted waist to the floor skirt. The appearance is that it is a top tucked into the skirt but it is all one piece. The pleating in the skirt is meticulously done and it is constructed of long vertical panels that sweep up to the high waist where they are seamed in like a flute that the top blossoms from. The skirt is meticulously made and has a good solid weight to it due to the high yardage. We photoed it on Vickie to show you how stunning it sits on a real girl! The gown is a superb example of high end couture workmanship and in excellent condition. Item# DD849

The bead work is so gorgeous on this dress! The entire neckline and front is heavily beaded and that stunning bead work continues all around the waistline as well. The base fabric is a off-white silk blend and the beads themselves a combination of gold and a true white. Set so that they actually stack atop on another the entire beaded detailing has a fabulous 3D effect. I love how the pattern is almost jewel like in feel - like a huge elaborate necklace that runs down the front and ends in a large medallion pendant! It has photoed a tad yellowish but it a true cream silk - far creamier then the photos show. They really do not do the piece justice! It's an easy fit and if you wanted you could probably move the band up to make it shorter and more of a mini. Top notch quality and the chic, luxe sixties feel that Malcolm Starr pieces can do so well. Excellent condition.
Item# DD1024
This wonderful Malcolm Starr is absolutely gorgeous and pieces like this from this label are getting harder and harder to come across. The base of the dress is made of a thick off-white silk that gives it that perfect 60s sculpted shape. This was then hand covered with a dense application of pink beads, iridescent diamond cut-outs, silver thread, beads and pearl covering the dress in an intricate pattern. The pretty pink shade on the white mixed with touches of silver is just stunning. The bead work is all 3 dimensional as well so you really get this wonderful sense of texture. It is just beautiful. I love the simple shift shape and the way it glimmers in the light. It looks wonderful on and is flattering to most body shapes. Excellent condition

Stunning, never worn crisp cotton print dress hand made by the Siam Boutique in Thailand. The print is stunning with a blended design made of red and orange on a black background. The collar is quilted and top stitched and sits over a little round keyhole. It is a waistless shift but has its original belt that allows you to cinch it in if you wish. The entire hem is circled with a wide band of quilted fabric - the stitched the fabric to follow the design This serves to weigh the hem and really help to hold the shape. It also adds and interesting dimension to the piece. In excellent condition, it appears to have never been worn!
Thai silk pieces from the sixties are in my opinion, some of the best silk work ever done in the history of fashion. This set was made by Star of Siam and the label proudly states that is was hand tailored in Bangkok. The silk is absolutely amazing and the pink as vibrant as the day it was made. It literally looks to be unworn! It was hand woven and hand screened and is an absolute testament to the craftsmanship being employed in constructing silk garments during this time period. The super model length skirt wraps into place and flares out in a wide A-line form the waist. You have the option of wearing the little triangle topped halter that simply ties into place leaving your entire back bare, or throw on the button silk top/jacket for a more covered look. It still has its little tie that you can wear around the neck or waist! Stunningly beautiful! I love it! Amazing concept & a definitive look of the sixties and a beautiful set in mint, unworn condition! Item# D322

A stunning Miss Dior pill box still feels fresh and modern because of that bright color! Fantastic gold toned belt from Christian Dior is the perfect mod accessory to add to just about any outfit for an instant bit of flash. Classic thick snake rope chain is welded together in a double row so a loop is formed at one end. The other ends in two fantastic gold chain tassels - each almost 2 inches long and topped with a rounded filigreed cap! There are three hooks to adjust the length. Its in excellent condition - no serious tarnish or loss of color and the Dior logo plat is on the back. I have seen girls also wear these as necklaces so you can style it with whatever imagination you can come up with!
This Donald Brooks dress is gorgeous and a piece is from his main line. Brooks launched his label in 1964 and the earlier pieces from this time period tend to be dramatic and made from graphic feeling prints and fabrics that allowed his to really create sculptural shapes. The skirt on this dress in particular is quite fabulous in its construction. The flare that you see is created by triangle shaped insets that run around the skirt. These panels create the volume you see and also add shape and structure so that the volume is held. The fabric has a graphic black & white floral print that covers its surface. The bodice is fitted to the waist and then opens into the skirt and this is all created by the seaming. The front has an unusual button closure that has a nod to the frog knot with sets of buttons in attached pairs slipping through finished buttonholes at the neckline. What an extraordinary piece. Presents as excellent condition with a note to review below
Fully lined in a white, hand set silk. The top closes with a series of buttons down the front and there is a hidden set zipper at the back. I have priced this lower then what I normally would as there is alight grubbiness and discoloration along the bottom edge of the hem and the very slightest of yellowing that can be seen on close inspection around the hem area. This is all negligible once on but mentioned for accuracy and it definitely makes the dress a true bargain.

An early Donald Brooks Boutique piece is the absolute epitome of the 1960s flower power, hippie chic movement. Any of the bog name super models would have easily graced the pages of Vogue in this two piece set. The skirt is maxi length and wraps to close. The fabric is an amazing coral and multi color cotton mix with a seersucker texture striping running through it to give added dimension. The top is structured and cropped - its made to fit to perfection and show off a taut, tanned stomach. A slight scooped neckline and log sleeves with a bit of fullness offer the perfect balance. Of course its the edging of embroidered multi colored flowers that absolutely make this outfit! They adorn the waistline of the skirt, the edging of that sexy top and the cuffs and neck! I love it! Amazing concept & a definitive look of the sixties and a beautiful piece in excellent condition

Both the top and skirt are unlined. The top closes with a back painted metal zipper & hook and eye at the neck, while the skirt wraps to closes with snaps and hook & eye. You can prob move the fastenings in the skirt to get another inch or two if needed. The zipper on the bodice piece sticks just a touch at its start but otherwise works fine and is original so has been left.

This is a stunning, museum quality piece that you really will be surprised to see in person - it is very hard to convey how substantial and well made this piece is. Really take a moment to super size the photos to get an idea of the fabric and textures of this piece! Those dots are all raised so you get an amazing textile effect. The bow and bottom hem is made of a heavy grade silk matte satin ribbon. The construction techniques used are of couture level and the main fabric is backed and weighted to retain its shape. Hidden pockets along the front seams, cap sleeves and a adorable little collar topping that dramatic and exaggerated bow at the front! It's a statement piece to be sure! Mint condition.
This is a gorgeous piece from Victor Costa that I think may be one of my favorites I have ever had from him! The print is a pretty small floral that covers the chiffon top to bottom. The main body of the dress is a long slim sheath with a pretty black lace hem. The black on the bottom really serves to draw the eye down and anchor the print perfectly! The shoulders are very pretty and unusual - the seam actually sits above the bust and the fabric goes over the shoulders and the sleeves are rounded. A slit is left open at the back for a bit of exposed skin to the waist. Then from the waist a train of chiffon finished with the same panels of lace swoops the floor. It is just gorgeous! Excellent condition and appears to have been worn little if at all.
