This perfect little black dress is made out of one of Cardin's favourite fabrics, a light-weight black cotton velvet that holds the line and design of his dresses exactly as he wished. The velvet is combined  with a black grosgrain and the contrast between the two fabrics is great. This has all of the classic Cardin signatures from this time period. The cut is a sculpted A-line that has that simple mod feel of the times. The cut is darling. It has no sleeves and falls outwards from the shoulders in an easy way over the body. We even shot it flat so that you could see how great the shape of it is. The neckline is finished with a wide band of the grosgrain and then this is picked up again with an inset of the grosgrain all around the lower hem. I love how it swoops up into that classic little Pierre Cardin curl at the front. The grosgrain helps to hold the shape of the skirt and the swoop adds an interesting element to the overall design. Pictures do not do it justice. It is meant to sit slightly oversized on the bod.y Excellent condition with a minor note below

Fully lined in a black silky rayon and closes with a back zipper. I see a slight bit if grubbiness on the back and to the inner edges of the neckline. 

Bust: to 20 " flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 20" flat across from side seam to side seam
Total length: 32" from neck to hem

  • We require three equal payments of the layaway total. You will be invoiced for the first amount upon request
  • payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
  • The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
  • items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
