Gorgeous 1960s Unlabeled Metallic Blue Turquoise & Purple Beaded Dress

  • This is a wonderful 1960s dress that has no label but is very well-made and the kind of thing that you only will find in vintage. It has the feel of a Malcolm Starr, but again it is unlabelled so it's just a fantastic little mystery dress.
  • The dress is made from a pretty metallic brocade that combines blue, a purple tone and turquoise, with a silver lurex thread that is woven directly into the fabric. This gives the fabric an amazing textured and slightly raised effect.
  • This covers the dress from shoulder to hem so that the entire piece has that amazing metallic feel to it. No matter what angle you see it from the metallic thread catches the light perfectly.
  • The neckline is cut in a high collar finished with a band of velvet that is further detailed with a pretty blue metallic cut ribbon and then it is beaded all around the lower edge. The bar is cut so that. it skims over you to a highly embellished waist that picks up on the collar. A wide band of here we see two rows of the beads, and these accent a turquoise green, purple and black velvet ribbon that circle all the way around the waist. All of the bead work appears to have been set by hand.
  • The skirt is cut to be wide and full as it near the floor.
  • The sleeves are long and each cuff is finished with the same bead and ribbon treatment as around the waist.
  • It is even better in person then how it photoed. These dresses were really made to look good on the body. I have taken a photo of it on a hanger so you can get a better idea of its true shape.
  • Fully lined in a purple silk and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Some hand finishes. Note that the zipper sticks a bit. Pockets on the skirt.
  • Excellent condition

SIZE GUIDE

Please review all measurements carefully. More often than not, vintage garments do not fit any size category exactly. If in doubt, measure a garment of your own that fits and is a similar cut and compare it's measurements to the listed measurements below.
