1950s Gold Sequin & Rose Gold Beaded Cashmere Sweater
This little beaded cardigan is a find. It is completely covered in sequins and bead work, all meticulously done by hand. You often see these with a bit of front beading on them, but this one is completely covered on both the front, back and sleeves. I love the classic fifties styling with its cropped cut and loose fit through the body. The knit feels like a silk and cashmere mix and it is lined with silk inside as well. It closes with little, glossy, deep eggplant colored ball buttons. The sequins are placed so that they are dense and heavy as they circle the upper shoulders and then are scattered right down to the bottom hem and over the sleeves. On the front there is also beautiful beaded floral pattern in muted gold beads with a touch of a rose hue to them. A little spray of beaded flowers details the very top back neck too. It is such a charming piece and a great way to work a fabulous piece of the past into your wardrobe. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a black silk, including the sleeves, and closes at the front with the round glossy ball buttons as shown. The bead work is hand done. It feels like a cashmere silk mix. Note that the camera cannot capture the sparkle of the sequins which are more of a true gold in person.

- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
