1950s Balenciaga Numbered Couture Coat
An amazing a very rare numbered Couture Balenciaga sculptural coat made of a cream knit mohair and lined in cream silk. As in all Cristobal pieces the final effect is deceptively simple but the cut and execution of design is actually quite complicated. It is all hand finished and its beauty is in its simplicity. The body of the coat is almost tubular but when worn magically seems to flare out a touch at the back . The body and waist are quite full and the sleeves to just below they elbow. The back has a notch and the collar is perfectly simple and the right balance for the fullness of the body. All the inside is hand sewn to finish and on the back of the Balenciaga tag it is numbered 80475. The front pockets are for decoration only - and even these faux flaps are hand sewn. Amazing and rare piece of fashion history and in excellent, museum quality condition.

Here's how deposits work on a standard layaway:
- We require three equal payments of the layaway total. You will be invoiced for the first amount upon request
- payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
- The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
